Dark sectors

Hello I have a newbie question. What are dark sectors exactly ? I know they are some kind of missions but I don't know how to access them. On starchart I reached euro and jupiter. Will I unlock dark sectors as I progress through starchart or I need to do something ?

Hi,

Dark sectors are endless missions that are fought against the infested and usually give good credits and loot. There are 1 or 2 on every planet you have unlocked so far (except mercury), for example tikal on earth. You can access them like any other mission, however you will be prompted with a special screen : just click continue, or "launch mission"... Once you have played one the node will have a special icon (the default clan icon)

In the past Tenno clans and alliances used to fight over the ownership of these missions to set taxes on the loot gathered in these missions. The armistice stopped these fight and removed taxes... until the Devs rework all that (soon)

no, those are invasions :) where you usually fight with either grineer or corpus allies

oh okay I see missions with my clan icon. Some of them are boss fights so dark sectors can be a boss fights ?

no the icon is a little different, the boss icon is a crowned eye, the dark sector icon is the tilted lotus over a planet...
