Anyway to access and use the cipher device?

I purchased a cipher device which is in my inventory. Does anyone know how to use it when hacking those damn terminals?
The one thing I have come to hate in this game hacking.
It's problematic. I find that when you rotate the hexagonal pieces around you can end up
rotating the other one instead,making it more frustrating to do.
Then when you get it right it sometimes turns red indicating you failed.
Pisses me off when it happens.
I'd like to see this hacking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deleted from the game altogether.
It's no longer a challenge but a chore and an aggravating one.
This is one thing i can really ♥♥♥♥♥ about in playing this game.
I hope they fix this with an update or patch.

The ciphers that you purchase are blueprints (unless you bought them before they were they were changed to blueprints). Craft them in your foundry. It is 5 ciphers per craft, and will cost you 400 ferrite and salvage per craft.

Once you've crafted them, go to your Arsenal screen, click Gear, select any of the 8 slots, and equip it there. You can carry up to 200 ciphers per slot.

As bothersome as it may be, I don't see the hacking mini-game going away any time soon.

I recommend you to not buy the ciphers; Yes I know it's VERY annoying but... Yo have about 1-5 or maybe more hacks per level, so it is very expensive to buy the ciphers, unless you have a BIG amount of credits and components.

In refrence to above comment I'm not sure about not buying the ciphers. I heard it will come in handy when you take your mastery test for level 5.
Tha'ts when you'll be tested for your hacking abilities and it's been recommended to get a cipher device.

The hacking test isn't really hard at all, but if you just want it to be so easy you could do it in your sleep, then grab a few ciphers and take a nap.

Cyphers are really uncalled for if you have any sort of puzzle solving ability. The hacks are very simple, and you can do them in a few seconds anyway.

The hacking may be simple but it's aggravating sometimes. As I explained at te beginning of this discussion.
Even when you do get it right it can still fail you by turning red.

You DO know that there is a time limit, right? I have never seen a properly solved puzzle turn red. You must be just missing the time limit.

This is an old thread of mine. Interesting it came up again. But yes I do know very well there's
a time limit on this.
And I have reached a point where I can make my own ciphers in the foundry.
Yes it's still annoying to hack terminals but I learned to accept it as part of the game.
Just like in real life you have to put up with ♥♥♥♥ you don't want to in whatever situation
you're in.
