Cronus or Skana?
I started with Skana like everyone, but i was able to craft a Cronus from a plan (not sure where i got the plan but i got it) which blade is better? From testing i don't see much difference, so i'd like to know which i should keep and level up.

Also I have the materials to craft a second Cronus, can i sell it to other players or something? Is it worth crafting a second one?

Thanks

Go with whichever looks better to you I suppose?

The Cronus is slightly better than the Skana in pretty much every way.
But there is really no point in crafting a second one.

I agree with Arach ... and there are much better weps to come once you have the credits and resources

The cronus has a slightly faster charge attack time and higher base attack, and i'm not sure but i think the regular attack is a bit faster. but yes, it is not worth making a second cronus as there is no option to have dual-cronus.

Note: Cronus blueprint is ALWAYS dropped by Captain Vor after you have killed him for the first time.

I think the real power is in the mods, and the way you apply the frame skills. The weapon is just the method of delivery, so it's more about your play style, buddies if you are playing co-op, and what takes your fancy. It does matter, but not that much. You will see effective players weilding something, and think wtf ... that's rubbish. They know how to use it though, and get the best out of it. Wiki helps, and so does reddit if you want hard data on crit chances, charge times, and how to mod for best effect. Some melee weapons in particular are highly effective used a particular way, and pretty ineffective out of that context.

You will find proponents of one weapon over another, but once you have played enough you will have some decent defense and damage mods that will bring you into the fight. These mods last you for your "career", as they go into your next frame, and weapon, and you get more and more powerful. In the rigfht hands, with the right mods, skana or cronus could do tidy damage.

I'm shallow and like the Bo staff, and have learned how to use it, but it's not for everyone, so don't listen to me on what to use ... but go with your gut and resources. Imho orthos is a highly effective multipurpose melee that is not too hard to use well, and if you can learn to slide attack is terrifying.

Enjoy

One thing you need to remember:
In order to gain maximum experience for your rank you should level each weapon to 30 at least once. Even if you want to replace your gear earlier - keep that in mind.

Craft it, level it, sell it if you want mastery, but everyone is right there are much better weapons out there.

Check the wiki.
