Update failed!
I cannot seem to be able to Update to the newest Hotfix and start the game since I am running into different kind of Error Messages.

What I tried so far:
- Verifying Download Cache
- Verifying Steam Game Cache Integrity
- Restarting Steam
- Disabling “Bulk Download” in the Updater
- Deleting the “Cache.Windows” content in the game directory
- Redownloading the entire game

Here are some of the Error Messages I ran into:

Anyone else having these issues at the moment or any other Workaround for me to try?

Same problem for me!
No error messages for me, it just don't move. Guess we have to wait to hotfix the hotfix :P

Yeah it keeps waiting saying something like 112.4/113MB and if you wait long enough it'll give you an Error Message. At least that is what is happening to me.
same problem for me too
Great tidings: Most members of the actual Warframe forums are d***s telling me to "get rid of steam" to solve the problem.

Shame the devs, mods or community managers had nothing to say, though.

On a different note: I left the launcher open for about half an hour today, just letting it repeat the update-fail-update-fail cycle. After said half hour, somehow magically it finished the update.

Hope this helps anyone.
Same problem here, except it said:
Update failed!
The content servers are temporarily unavailable.
ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT.
The update will restarted shortly.
I checked my internet connection, and it looked fine. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Bro, there are a few ways I have seen people make it work.
1. go to my computer>local disk C>program files (x#)>steam>stream apps>common>warframe>tools> and run the launcher.exe as an admin.
2. if that doesn't work, make sure your firewall isn't blocking the game launcher. The program itself is called Warframe on the firewall, its called Evolution Engine and there are a like 3 of them. Put them all to allow all the time.
3. Go to the games file on your actual steam account, right click on the game, and go to properties. go to local files and verify cache. That might download some extra files the updater missed.
4. and finally, if all that failed, which it did for me, start the laucher up normally. Once it comes up, click on the gear in the upper right hand corner. Un check the "64 bit-mode" box. That finally made it work for me..
Lol hope this works mayne.

Quoted the few of you who have issues, so your Steam will alert you for this message I've wrote, instead of the lot of you having to search this post again. Here's a solution I've discovered.

This issue is usually caused by Steam having to update.

I've had this issue twice, and twice I fixed it by hard restarting Steam.
Exiting Steam and relog in won't solve the issue, you HAVE to make sure Steam gets an update.

If completely terminating Steam program does not work, try restarting your computer. Usually Steam will do version check at the start up of your windows, and downloading updates if there are any.

I personally don't know why Steam's software version have anything to do with Warframe's launcher's download capability, but this is a solution I've used and proven to work.

- Verifying Steam Game Cache Integrity , sometimes after patch its causes to redownload all client... This is sux i think...
What about when running as an administrator tells you to " Please run Warframe from the Launcher"? Downloaded this game as a main reason for joining Steam and haven't played it yet. Updates keep failing and I've tried everthing on the list - Escalayer's 4 things. I even installed all the possible updates to Windows (8.1) and that didn't work. Is this an 8.1 thing?

Please help. Steam contact people never responded.

I did step 3 as stated here and it turns out all 4.3gb of the game files were not verified so i have to completely re-download the game. I don't really mind so much as long as it works; so, fingers crossed.

*EDIT*

Nope, still doesn't work...

maybe steam's warframe broke
I had to download the patch TWICE. (4.3GB) I think this is happening to alot of people
Was playing just fine, you know, crashing and freezing as usual.

One time steam DCed and I was in a game with a friend, somehow each of us seemet to have DCed to the other but we finished the mission anyway, alone on our own servers or something.

When it ended I noticed I had _1 by my name, restarded the game and it kept saying update failed, check your info, it wouldn't go away so reinstalled the whole thing.

Now it doesn't update and I get the same error you guys are getting, sigh.
Don't "verify cache" from within Steam for non-steam games like Warframe which have frequent updates as it will more likely cause a problem than fix it. Use the updater on the Warframe launcher to manage your files. At this time, Warfame has been receiving frequent hotfix updates and the files on Steam are older which will result in a mismatch.
