Texture glitches...?
Not sure if it's a texture glitch, something that's supposed to be there, or my graphics card having issues, but I was in a level and encountered a weird issue where random pillars had these blue square-shaped or rectangle-shaped patches that were all aligned and placed in the EXACT same spots as the ones on the other pillars, on a few boxes I found purple patches, and I found more blue patches on the floor and ceiling, again, all perfectly aligned. When I come closer, or turn the right way, they vanish, or move, but at the right distance, or, again, when the angle is just right, they are back. I don't know what could possibly be causing this, and I haven't seen it prior to this. However I've had similar issues with Left 4 Dead 1 where a few textures would have multi-colored 'static' on them, which was fixed by closing the game and opening it again.

If you want screenshots, just go to my profile and go to 'screenshots', I've put a whole bunch of them up there, showing this glitch.

Those certainly are glitches, but it's often hard to say what the exact cause is, or how to fix it. You could either restart the game, restart your computer, check to make sure your graphics card is up-to-date, or maybe lower some graphics settings.
My graphics card did hit 70 C, but it has done this on many other games and I did not have any issues similar to this. my graphics card has the latest drivers available to it, and it's a newer model, I could lower a few graphics settings though (such as antialiasing).

This is what I'm using:

AMD FX 8350 Processor @ 4.52 GHz

AMD Radeon HD 7970 - 3 GB.

16 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM.

850 Watt Corsair PSU.

The game does NOT lag at all, it runs at a very steady 80 FPS on completely maxed out graphics, so I have no idea. I just got this computer a few weeks ago, so I don't know.

Yeah, a system like that would have no problems running this. The only other thing that comes to mind is perhaps corrupted texture files? A re-install might fix that. Other than that, I'm not really sure what could be wrong.
Yeah, that COULD be it. Because it seems to me that if it were a graphics card error, the textures would be glitching EVERYWHERE, not just in a couple of little spots on various objects, in the exact same spots (Example: The textures glitching on one pillar in one spot, and then glitching on another pillar in the exact same spot).
