Hi guys currently im using the Latron. gotten that to about lvl 23 with a couple good mods on there. still i find that the rate of fire is slow and damage is lacking. my dual akimbos make quick work of most enemies but as far as rifles go what would you suggest that has more stopping power but faster rate of fire.

Every weapon at a low rank is disappointing, every weapon with right mods at the right rank will be effective. Some are naturally better in certain situations than others. I would loathe to take the Snipetron into an infestation mission, or any kind of assasination mission. Meanwhile most of the non-Latron weapons that use rifle ammo will suffer ammunition shortages if you use them exlcusively.

It comes down to preference really. I enjoyed the Paris when I used it. Brought it up to rank 16 without unequipping it. Haven't used it much since. I've had great experiences with the Gorgon and the Hek, both are effective and efficient when used properly.

Right now all the rifles are pretty well balanced. MK-1 is by far the worst but it's a starter gun so not much should be expected. A lot of people are recommending Boltor but I find it's only useful against Grineer (but it's very good at what it does, chewing through Grineer). A lot of situational weapons but if I only had to pick one rifle I'd use the Strun for everything.

I'm at lvl 26 using a lvl 12 latron, farming everest.
With 40% pierce, and 30% fire rate increase, it could blast through pretty much anything in 2-4 shots, depending on type, it takes 2 shots to kill grineers, 3 to kill corpus crewmen, and 3-4 for moas depending on where you shoot it at. And with reload/mag mods, it could pretty much be a keeper for the rest of the game.

Also a lot of my clan mates actually uses it, with Slow mods you could take on 10 defense waves with little problem.

Boltor is currently my favorite and by far the most interesting gun I`ve had. With its PROs and CONs it`s a truly unique experience.

Braton and Latron are the next two best rifles if you take into account them being potatoed/formaed. Assuming you don't mind aiming.

If you hate aiming, go for the boltor/gorgon.

I got Latron Prime (formad twice) with a potato in it and some maxed out mods I pretty much 1 shot low level enemies and two to three shot medium enemies and 6-7 shot high enemies.

Not to forget it's not even where I want it yet, gonna be formad more, I think.
