Because stupid people buy macs and dont know how to use them.
well my mac plays games almost flawlessly (late 2013 macbook pro retina), and its true most people dont know how to use them but those that do arent stupid, its a choice and we shouldnt get ♥♥♥♥ from people just because we felt like paying a little extra money. But thats besides the point, this discussion was for those that do have a mac and want to play warframe so they could voice their opinions or help eachother to find a way to achieve what we want. not be put down as idiots from the PC community. in fact, the PC community should be supportive of their fellow players and try and help but i can see that its too much to ask for people to put aside their differences and make some progress.
Reprogramming a entire game around a different API is not exactly a small feat either, you would need to either hire a complete team specifically for mac's, or outsource it to a different studio, and then you would have the same issue that is currently ongoing with the PS4 trying to catch up content wise with the PC, only now you have the mac version competing for resources with 2 other versions, so development would slow down on each of those, meaning content updates would likely happen every 6 months instead of every 2 months.
It is not financially profitable to start redesigning a game for yet another platform this late in a games life, especially for a multiplayer game like this, also look at the issues the ps4 player base is having to deal with, with their content nearly constantly being 2 - 2.5 months behind the PC version, if there was a mac client in developement it would be even further behind in terms of content imo.
edit: Warframe is nearly 2 years Old now, so yes I feel that it is too late in the games life to develop another version just for mac users.

Hi there tbeest,
There are currently no plans to make a port of the game for that OS, but that doesn't mean it's not a future possibility! Depending on demand, we may reassess the situation, so I'll be sure to communicate your request to the rest of the team.

Hi Imp_ivan,
We currently have no plans to make a port of the game for that OS, but that doesn’t mean it will never happen. We use demand from the community to help gauge interest in the platforms we choose to support, so I will be sure to communicate your request to the rest of the team.
Thank you for your interest!
Well, it's really not an excuse, because they're just stating they don't have plans for Mac currently... Unless you're using the word "Excuse" as a way of saying: "That's the fact, and we're keeping it that way until we decide otherwise.", which isn't what the word "Excuse" means. Now, if they said something different every time, I would agree that it's just a bunch of excuses and BS.
Sorry if I seem description critical, I just find it a bit annoying when somebody uses a word that is unsuitable for what they're talking about.
