Technocyte Coda feel kinda underwhelming for all the hype leading up to them
Most of the Coda weapons haven't got any unique traits/mechanics compared to the normal versions, nor the raw stats to make them compelling to use. With all the power creep being introduced everywhere else this makes them feel very redundant tbh.

Half the Ephemeras are really underwhelming too, and they're mutually exclusive with emotes as a reward (which also have no dupe protection btw). I think it's probably more generous than the Liches/Sisters but it'd be nice to be able to influence what you get in some way that isn't super trivial.

I think they should've used 'Party of Your Lifetime' more sparingly in the lead up to this update with the stadium fight as I've already heard it a ton in the mall hub, which makes the fight feel less unique/special/cool.

After I get the Embracer Ephemera I'm done with them, hopefully DE add Coda Phage soon :)

True.

Personalities, weapons, abilities and elements gave encounters with liches and sisters some degree of variety. Even their looks had way more variance. Code are boring in comparison. Once you've done each band member once you've seen them all.

Coda weapons are also very boring, because excluding the new weapons they're just stat upgrades. Out of kuva weapons only half were simple stat upgrades and out of sister weapons none were, each of them had something that made them clearly different.

I think powercreep has hurt the game and keeps hurting it in the long-run, it just makes game-balance way too difficult to keep in check. So I'm not totally against the idea of new weapons that are just okay, not busted but not completely terrible (except for the Purgator, for some reason?)

The entire update felt "just okay", I think, which isn't bad on its own, but I'd say the problem is it didn't warrant an entire year of hype (and a demo) just for what ended up being a half-finished update at first

Do it once I guess or go for the Ephemeras, I've slain a bunch of Coda but haven't actually bought a weapon with the Live Heartcells.

Agreed on the personality, wasn't sure if I was being nitpicky as we got 5 band members compared to the 4 personalities of Liches/Sisters, but they're just so similar to one another. I think having no progenitor influence on their appearance was a mistake too.

I think that ship has long sailed and I don't see DE trying to balance things other than adding damage attenuation which is really boring, it could really use some kind of skill based interaction to expose a portion of their health to full damage or something.

I personally feel the wait/hype for Coda would have paid off better by having the Coda weapons be the best weapons in 1999 by at least being equivalent to the best Kuva/Tenet weapons either in stats or unique traits. Right now they feel like an afterthought and a step backwards.

it was part of the 1999 content but removed due to technical issues, so you probebly should view it as part of the 1999 update.
