The new war

Just did the new war. By far the worst experience I have ever had in this game. Besides the lore bombs and the literal start where you play as corpus and grineer this quest was washed. Had subpar stealth missions inside of it, if you can even call them that, you literally only have one route you can take to complete this crap. You go around one shotting things like the rest of the game but slow as ♥♥♥♥ and with no mobility. You don't really get to experience "The New War" part of the arc. its just timeskipped and then you are sent on a mission to rebuild lotus where you go through pretty awful boss fights. All around lackluster experience. At least I only had to go through this once and then never again.

Can't believe these TPS veterans are complaining about a casual game being "too forceful".

I mean, WTF? there are 1,000+ games in the store and none of them are forcing you to play them.

I don't even know what your on about here. There were things my buddy wanted to do in Warframe and some of those things were locked behind completing New War. Thus we were forced to complete New War to do the things we wanted to do. Not that hard to understand right?

It's perfectly understandable for people to be upset about it, when the game throws a curveball like that, and with no chance to practice or prepare for the gameplay style change prior to the quest that you are locked into until completion and can't exit if you get stuck

LMAO I remember doing this quest and being so glad I never had to replay it again. Spoilers, if you want archon mods, Styanax or the Skaut landing craft, you'll still have to do similar gameplay for Kahl's garrison, and you can expect the same levels of jank and bugs even with the stiff, on-rails scripted gameplay. I think my review for the quest right after finishing it was "I'd rather file my c@ck down to a point with a safety razor than play 5 more minutes of new war" and I still stand by that to this day, it's just a painful 2 hour rite of passage that opens up the rest of the game. You can play the game and have a fair critique of it, but when posting it on steam forums expect tons of ragebait and gatekeeping in response

There are reasons you'll find almost no complaint about The New War game modes here:
1. They are all easy.
2. They gave useful rewards.
3. They never force you to play ANYTHING, you are the one who wants progress and accepted their condition, by your own will. It's not your game, it's DE's turf.

So yeah, the more you complain, the more players will be mocking your nonexistent basic WASD skill.

DE made the game for DE, they ain't charity, they won't hand over all the game's content just to console some TPS rookies, if someone haven't noticed why time gates and mastery tests exists.

Assuming your friend was planning to permanently change his gender anyway, he doesn't need to make up any lame excuses, just go cut it off, it's legit in 2025 and nobody would stop him.
