1999 sucks

If 1999 had been part of the game when I started Warframe in 2013...I definitely wouldn't have played it to this day. I think 1999 is a sobering sign for me to put Warframe aside for good. Motorcycles that bounce and spin? Protagonists look like manga characters made flesh. This is no longer the style that made Warframe so special. Somehow it even kills the whole immersion of the Warframe universe for me. It's a damn shame that I have to say that. Overall, some weird design decisions were made. The story is also totally confusing and doesn't really explain anything. 1999 doesnt make Warframe better in any way ! What do you think ? What is good about 1999 ??

Okay i gave 1999 another chance and it's not really complete crap, with the manga comparisons, i was a bit over it too. My first impression (BoyGroupMusic) was just too bad, I still don't get it with the motorcycles... in the end I found a motorcycle in the store that looks something like what I imagine for warframe. it only costs 150P ;) something like that. especially those totally superfluous and annoying chats beep beeep beeep beeep with random uninteresting small talk I still find really pfrghy. So I have to admit... 1999 sucks, but only a little. Sorry if I offend anyone with my slight change of opinion...

It's Zariman size update and it's severely oversold. Whispers were big deal because of shards and arcane changes, this one is not. It would've been better with lyches as something to do apart from syndicate rep farm which got old long time ago. The quest is next level awful.

Someone obviously failed to understand that infested liches were a part of 1999 but got delayed for quality control.

I think it's alright but it's definitely not on par with the massive hype and all the previews and advertisements for it. It's just another content island and they even time gated the 'romance' minigame, MORE time gating. New weapons are boring, new frame looks boring.

But the arcanes are OP so I'll farm those, the daily grind is very easy so I'll do that, and they're going to expand on this particular island to not make it so bad as the other ones (apparently).

Anyways, if you were going to dip when Warframe changed up big time, you should have seen it coming when they made a 20 minute quest just to introduce a pregnant Warframe

Why criticize the visuals? The real problem is that after the intro 1999 becomes just another flavor of zariman and entrati labs. Literaly the same missions as the base game,with the same "treasure" collecting mechanics just in a new coat of paint,thats the real disappointing part
