Unlike the original warframes, the proto skins are one single model. The only aspect of the head you can customize is the hair color.
I also remember in one of the showcases a while back, you could remove certain accessories, but that doesn't seem to be the case right now. It either hasn't been fully implemented yet or completely scrapped. I really hope it's the former.
as far as i remember the only thing you can remove was quincys hat and you can do that still
That's disappointing to hear
Which brings me to this bug I ran into:
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/19800346908992784/E09C58EEE9B15E5BB0925A99E9CA32DC0928BC9D/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false
As you can see it's Mag's Alata skin with the proto elements overlayed on top.
basically means its not impossible to make the proto skin to work with normal helmets or even, normal skins
like how prime details work on normal skins
