Is there any way to exit 1999?

Not sure why every company lately thinks that huge damage sponges and constant spamming of arena-wide attacks is "fun" or even "difficult" (bullhockey would be a better description), but 1999 is not going to be my thing, and there appears to be no way to cancel the mission, so my account is bricked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not only were you told it was a lock-in when you started the mission but it's piss easy.

Skill issue, just like New War. But worse on your end.

Take a breather and think for a second why something is killing you. I had a moment where I was getting blasted, because I was slowly walking forward trying to kill everything when it was not the goal of the mission. Dunno why, I was just playing on auto and didn't look at the objective

The problem lies between the chair and the keyboard, replacing it may be of great help

Honestly considering taking a Karak with basic mods on with me just to see how "difficult" it even is.
Edit: turns into Exergis and Akmangus with a Destraza, lets see how it goes.

Oh, I know why I was getting killed. Taking 1/2 second to attack the tank was allowing DOZENS of sprayers to spawn. It was just a green field of acid waste.

Maybe that was a glitch. Dunno. Some cover - anywhere in the arena, might have been nice.

Use bullet jumps and aim glide, stay off the ground, ignore the reinforcements completely. Once the vents are popped off, use exalted blade to melt its health. I killed it in under a minute with no real difficulty.

Honestly they should stop doing these "you are locked in until you finish" missions. Imo it is a very harsh punishment to keep an account hostage if it turns out the player can't finish the mission. I have yet to try New War because of this.

It took no damage from exalted blade. I tried that. There's a rocket launcher that spawns that seems in some way related, but the boss kept parking directly on top of it.

Again, maybe it's behavior glitched. I had the weak points off in less than a second. Then the whole arena turned green, there were literally no spots to even stand, the sky had 22 sprayers, and it didn't stop there. No weapons or abilities took off more than a micrometer of it's health.

My guy. You had to sign a popup explicitly stating that there's no backing out. I know gamers are borderline illiterate when games expect them to read but, my god.

use melee ,you kill them faster ,it is not that bad really ,not that enemy is bullet sponge ,is the weapon mod are junk ,but still doable ,if you reach gear customize room ,you already finish half of the story.

again ,use melee, jump slam and bullet jump around ,there is tons of explosive corrosive stuff around, it is easy to blow them up by mistake ,also Excal 4 literally destroy everything ,not sure how you end up having hard time ,also dont forget to summon atomic bike to explode agains enemy.

And again, on the "I can't read" front - the question was "I am not a fan of this type of gameplay - is there any way back?" - not, did I understand the popup. Not, do I need mission support.

If you're going to comment on reading skills, maybe use some.
