Can you guys give me some direction or post a guide that give me direction/a purpose?
I like the game so far but I need some direction/goal instead of free styling it now

I can certainly try

Getting new Warframes & weapons that you are interested in

Doing your quests in the Codex to unlock more content

Grinding out your open world faction (Cetus on Earth, Fortuna on Venus, Deimos)

Unlocking all planets, completing all nodes on EVERY SINGLE planet to unlock hard mode (Steel Path)

Unlocking your Rail Jack, Nechramech, Archwing, and access to Open World Archwing to traverse better.

Leveling up your Syndicates to get access to Warframe specific mods (Augments) amongst other things

Unlocking dailies, weeklies

getting companions to help out or cater to your play style (Cats, Dogs, robots)

I'm sure theres more but thats just off the top of my head, I also don't really know how much hours you've put into the game? Hope this helps and good luck in your endeavors.

Op, this. ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑

I would add that you never use the trading chat that you can find in-game. NEVER. It is filled with spam bots, scammers and scalpers.

Use https://warframe.market/ instead.

If you ever feel like you've gotten stuck and cannot progress, work on upgrading your MODS. 95% of player power in the game is having the correct mods installed and leveled. This can get quite complex, but some basic modding rules/patterns can be learned quite quickly.

A little while back I made a google doc guide to where most "non standard drop" mods can be found.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/16qqhsV-yxBEabH0odvgPiva0AoOpawEPwRZUYcgU_zI

I also have a few weapon and frame suggestions you could get at your level, or at least very soon. (all of these require mastery level 5 and under).
- Primary -> the "Hek" shotgun -> blueprint bought for credits in the market
- Secondary -> "Atomos" chaining flamethrower -> bp in market for credits too
- Melee -> "Ether reaper" scythe -> bp in market for credits -> spam heavy attacks for guaranteed bleed status effect
- Frame -> "Nezha" -> bp and parts bought for credits in a clan Dojo's "Tenno Lab" shop. Keep is 3rd ability active for a strong survivability boost. his 1 is move speed and status removal. his 2 is a damage multiplier debuff you can apply to bosses.

edit: also look up the new-player friendly youtubers TheKengineer and LeyzarGamingViews for great and in depth guides to weapons, frames, and other mechanics

You mean complete all main quests or just the first one (Vor's Prize)?

Vor's Prize isn't the only main quest
Firefrye Feb 19, 2024 @ 3:41pm
It's more accurate to say you should try to complete the "Main quest line" because there are more than 1.
Official quest guide on the main website: https://www.warframe.com/game/questguide
1 Vor's Prize
2 Once Awake
3 The Archwing
4 Stolen Dreams
5 The New Strange
6 Natah
7 The Second Dream
8 The War Within
9 Chains of Harrow
10 Apostasy Prologue
11 The Sacrifice
12 Chimera Prologue
13 Rising Tide (this is hilariously the last listed quest on this official guide...)
14 The New War
15 Whispers in the Walls

i'd recommend following Brozime's recent FTPlaythrough series on youtube if you have the extra time to watch whenever you aren't playing a little bit during the week. if you're interested in something you can follow that gives you all the essential information and tips along the way that you won't get from a place like here, i'd go for that.

I was grinding for Rhino after beating Vor's Prize and Saya's Vigil (already got blueprint and the 3 parts. Already built chasis but need 2 morphics, 2 gallium and 600 plastids to begin building the other two parts. Not sure how hard those things are to get but I guess I'll just begin the main quests now thanks guys

I typically suggest Nezha instead of Rhino because his parts are buyable for credits instead of farmable from a boss. Both are good, but Nezha is more flexible down the line and Rhino is really a 2 trick pony: You have iron skin and you roar. That's about it. The most important long-term difference is the augment mod for Nezha's 3 that lets you cast it's protective "hula hoop" on allies, pets, defense targets, or virtually any other friendly thing with a health bar. If you're close to finishing crafting Rhino, finish him for sure, but you'll want another "protect allies and defense targets" frame at some point.

Is Sanctuary Onslaught a good area to level up everything?

in a general sense, Yes. Though there is a "2minutes" tech I found in youtube

I think your first long-term goal should be completing "The New War".

Obviously, this will have many prerequisates, and a bunch of quests leading up to it, but IMO, this is the first destination that you should pin on the map.

And as you work towards that destination, tackle things that are immediately in your way as you move along towards it.

Finishing The New War will open a bunch of other stuff up, and most importantly, give you a general all-purpose weapon that just nukes everything, and makes most other things way easier than they would be otherwise.

Then, once New War is done, I would then focus on opening up other systems, building up some of the factions. You will want at least Lv3 Entrati for Helminth (something I'm working on right now), some Fortuna standing for some of the stuff they sell, and some Cetus/Quills standing for some of the stuff they have. Some warframes and weapons are locked behind these, as are other things.

Other than that, work on getting an arsenal of decent weapons. The primary you get out of New War is awesome AF, but you might not want to use that ALL the time, it might get boring. There's also a rather good secondary you get out of Whispers in the Wall which is right after New War, so you might want to do that too.

While you're doing all the above, to help keep it fresh, I highly suggest you do the Duviri Paradox and then once you get that done, do a round of Duviri Experience or two now and then: some of the Drifter Intrinsics you get there will actually have benefits in the rest of the game, too! They take awhile to unlock but if you keep at it, you'll get it. You can also get Forma, Reactors and Catalysts from Duviri Experience too, so that's a huge plus.

I'm not knocking what these guys are saying. By all accounts, I'm kind of a noob because I've been away from the game for a few years. But the most frustrating thing for me when I got back was mastery. The really cool gear is locked behind your account level, so you need to level up all the warframes and weapons you can, as well as doing every mission that has a green flashing pip over it. Around mastery 10, you'll be able to use most of the really cool gear. Finish the mars junction, then do lots of void fissures to get relics, and to crack the relics. Get lots of warframe prime parts and weapon prime parts. Make sets. Sell the ones you don't want for platinum. Buy the ones you do want.
