I guess that the game's heavier now, but not being optimized to its fullest since we already know that Digital Extremes (DE) adores ot make ius their guinea pigs... at least from ever since Duviri, aka Du(mb)Virii, I've got that vivid notion that we were their forking SoulFrame's beta testers.
yeah but its plenty fine to run Warframe, and that still does not explain crashing, at most they would just have low fps.....
@OP are you having this issue with anything else?
I would try running some other games that stress your system, as was said before, if you have any custom settings on the gpu, cpu, ram or whatever, maybe reset them for now and see if that keeps it fine.
Also obvious, windows/driver updates and a SFC /Scannow could not hurt
DE was originally a lighting studio. You can still see this with the absolutely gorgeous, but poorly optimized, enviornments. DE shines when making small, guided missions where lighting makes all the difference like old infested missions, dagath missions, chains of harrow...
