Question - no sniper scope setting on Rubico Prime
There is a setting that turns off sniper scope. Snipers still have zoom, but the screen is not obfuscated.

I would like to try Rubico Prime. Could someone confirm if I use the "no sniper scope" setting on Rubico Prime, I still have a hip crosshair with some accuracy, so I can use it as a rifle for mid-to-close range ? I would really like to not grind for a Prime just to discover that it only works for long range.

Side Note - some of you may point out that it is stupid to use snipers in this game. You may have some point, but I am trying the Heimlinth ability "Mark for Death" which turns snipers into massive AoE cannons. So its a niche build.

I've not tried snipers so idk how that option would work, but have you thought about making the regular Rubico to test the option before grinding for a prime? I think the bp is for sale in market.

Edit. Thinking about it, i think that setting just turns off the 'scope' leaving normal aimed crosshair but with a crazy high zoom. IIRC there is a rubico exclusive mod called ambush optics that drops the zoom by 50% it should work with the prime version too.

As still one of my favourite Snipers upon WarFrame (WF), I can tell you that both versions of it (Prime and regular) have a decent scope that can even be further mod'ed. :baa:

Although, since I'm more of the stealthier type of player, I've got my Rubico Prime with a Hush mod' so that my Ivara can still shoot with her Prowl (i.e., her 3rd skill) and still obtain that extra damage but at the same time keeping invisible and pretty much being able to steal stuff from foes who might me wandering nearby searching for her.

Btw, the Ambush Optics is one of those anti-mod's that most likely you wouldn't want upon your weapon unless you're trying to cripple it into being more similar to a regular Riffle (in WF).

Thanks for the responses

Upon tests, it looks like there is a regular hip crosshair, but snipers have massive accuracy penalty unscoped

they also get large stat bonuses while scoped

sporothrix and komorex are fantastic snipers for horde gameplay, you're not dumb for using a sniper outside of eidolon contexts
