When he helped me fight the murmur, I was hoping the murmur would kill him.
He did not have a SINGLE LINE that didn't reference the fact that he's pissed at Entrati. I was in a pretty good mood as the quest started, but as this dude kept talking I was so tempted to close the game. Other people are complaining that the quest was too short, but if it was any longer I wouldn't have been able to put up with Loid's CONSTANT attitude to finish it.

Sometimes its not easy writing about things you don't understand in a mature fashion. Often in writing; relationships are one of those topics that tend to gravitate to either a very narrow viewpoint based on our own life experiences or that of erotic fan fiction and thus miss what makes folk believable from a personality standpoint. Perhaps with enough player feedback, while it likely won't change; it can be improved.

It's kinda hard to take the threat of an ELDRITCH ENTITY ENCROACHING UPON REALITY seriously when the NPC guiding you through this horror is more focused on his ex. I genuinely wasn't sure until the end if he could hear Wally or not despite Wally addressing him directly because Loid didn't acknowledge it.

My least favorite trope of all time is "Character A is pissed at Character B, and has to CONSTANTLY make it known despite the fact that it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that the thing they're pissed about was done for a VERY VERY good reason."

But mainly it's that it was LITERALLY ALL OF HIS LINES. He could not say 1 thing without wrapping it back to the fact that he's pissed at Entrati. And if it wasn't about Entrati, it was some snide put-down to someone that did nothing wrong.

Like, Wally was very obviously fud<ing with him by pretending the fish was saying stuff it wasn't and Loid was immediately like "I'll fud<ing kill that fish right now I swear to god just give me a reason and I'll strangle it with my own two hands."

The mark of good writing. A character should always emote exactly what they're feeling as loudly as possible and NOTHING ELSE with no subtly.

said it on reddit, ill say it here, it felt like someones gay warframe fanfiction got uploaded to warframe instead of the actual update, it followed fanfiction levels of writing the entire time, and nothing of consequence occured aside from yet another new faction to grind reputation for, FFS as if we didnt have enough of them already.

and im not being bigoted against homosexuals, it just literally was only about the fact they were in a gay relationship, basically nothing else of substance occured, there was more focus on their relationship than the actual lore of warframe ffs

wait actual question, where did you all see the gay part? i just saw a man frustrated about his old friend/ master abandoning him for some idiotic reason he didn't understand, being also forced to kill him because void ruins everything

This is why I play with the sound off, and dont read the dialogue. My health insurance doesnt cover the level of cringe injuries I would sustain. If "crinjuries" isnt already a word, maybe it should be.

Game is infinitely more enjoyable when you dont pay close attention to it.
