"MY BROTHER IN CHRIST. YOU ARE IN A FIRE FIGHT WITH AN ELDRITCH HORROR. NOW IS NOT THE TIME."
It's kinda hard to take the threat of an ELDRITCH ENTITY ENCROACHING UPON REALITY seriously when the NPC guiding you through this horror is more focused on his ex. I genuinely wasn't sure until the end if he could hear Wally or not despite Wally addressing him directly because Loid didn't acknowledge it.
My least favorite trope of all time is "Character A is pissed at Character B, and has to CONSTANTLY make it known despite the fact that it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that the thing they're pissed about was done for a VERY VERY good reason."
But mainly it's that it was LITERALLY ALL OF HIS LINES. He could not say 1 thing without wrapping it back to the fact that he's pissed at Entrati. And if it wasn't about Entrati, it was some snide put-down to someone that did nothing wrong.
Like, Wally was very obviously fud<ing with him by pretending the fish was saying stuff it wasn't and Loid was immediately like "I'll fud<ing kill that fish right now I swear to god just give me a reason and I'll strangle it with my own two hands."
"how you know?"
"horrible dialogue is here"
Imo it fits the character well.
You need to consider that the orokin times were different and basically everyone was an entitled brat (as far as their status allowed)
It creates an interesting difference between necraloid and meatloid.
It might also tie into future story because the void is influenced by strong emotions.
Being in a relationship is fine, having one protect the other is fine. But if that is effectively the set up to the entire game? I think I just got bored of learning more...
I KINDA thought that was the whole POINT, but far be it from me to try and let people who INSIST on missing the obvious for whatever reason they may desire see such.
Everyone INSISTS that THEIR own personal opinions and preferences take precedence over everyone else's.
So be it. My 'own' personal preference is that I am a fat headed bigot 'about' fat headed bigots and I cannot stop laughing at all the fat headed bigots. Yes, that means I am a hypocrite (Like @90% of the posters online these days, but at least I can admit it!) and that I laugh at myself a lot.
Sorry if that offends... Um, actually, no I am not. I AM a true fat headed bigot, after all.
Loid was more important than the super tight Lore we had so far with mega Characters since years. "Together" is the new emphasis of a Ninja Genocide Power Fantasy. No more Red Veil Torture Chambers and Fields of Corpses!
Forgiveness and Understanding is the new Message - Personal Growth!
No Lotus - No more Fortuna Slaves Body Horror - No Bodysnatching for Simaris
Just Loid.
Loid is the Problem! Every tiny word out of his mouth! Hate the only Solution.
