Beam weapons and Headshot Multiplier
To my knowledge, some weapons or weapon modes ignore headshot multiplier (its value is 1)

Is this the case with beam weapons ? What about the Incarnon version of Torid ?

There's a couple of points about this that can be a little confusing. First you need to understand just what the beam weapon you're using is doing. You think it's just firing a beam and hitting enemies, but that's only part of it. A lot of beam weapons also have an aoe component that's not listed in the stat page in game. This aoe occurs at the final point of the beam, whether it's hitting an enemy, a part of the environment, or just reaching its maximum range.

Pretty much all the beam weapons will trigger headshots from the actual beam hitting an enemy, but the aoe at the end of the beam will NOT trigger headshots. Chaining beam weapons also typically don't have the aoe at the end of the beam, but will chain to center mass of the additional targets, thus no headshots there either.

A couple years ago this wasn't the case with the aoe on beam weapons, which meant you could hit any part of the enemy with the beam and still trigger headshots, and was part of the reason ignis wraith was really popular, but that also meant it got hit hard by the nerf to aoe not triggering headshots.

So if you see on the wiki that it says the beam weapon won't trigger headshots, read it carefully and it'll most likely really be saying that the aoe at the end of the beam won't.

If you cant find the information, you can test it out in the simulacrum and put headshot multiplier arcane on after testing the one without it.

If its only on certain beam weapons; it could be related to DE Pablo's past rework on weapon critical head shots and area of effect weapons. Maybe there is some overlap.
