Public Index
It is always full of:

Point hoarders that don't have a clue on how bonus works, they are like: "I'm pro because I'm holding 50 points huehuehuehue"

Leechers that hide and go afk.

The math genius who deposit more than the needed amount. Example: we are at 98/100 and he deposits 22 points.

The braindead Limbo who thinks he is helping with a maxed range Cataclysm

Conclusions:
Learn the basics of Index before playing it.

Leave at the first round if you encounter any of those previously mentioned.

Don't play public Index at all.

People horde points to skip the second round.

Limbo is pretty common when trying to get the nightwave where you need the enemy to score 0 points.

In both cases, they're well past the 'basics', they're after specific objectives.

I'm good, I usually just work with the players doing it right and the hoarders drop their ♥♥♥♥ at round 2 and evac.

After a while you get used to the stoners and drunks and just play the game.
If you want a good squad that's what a clan is for.

Skipping a round holding 90 points which gives a bonus of 10? How is that even an argument to you?

You could perfectly deposit with 15 points and get 8 bonus, which translates into splitting the 90 points into 6 deposits of 15 points and bonus 8, which again translates into a total of 138 points instead of 100, which is what you get by hoarding 90 points.

That doesn't change Limbo's useless pressence.

That was my last conclusion too, you can't teach to every single squad how Index works.

The point is to have a large pool of points going into the second round to make it shorter. Obviously that's not possible if you're handing them in as you go. It basically lets you bank points for the second round at the difficulty of the first round. I'm not sure what's difficult to understand.
i had some salty player getting mad at me for taking their kills? It's pve/ does it really matter that much to you?

I'll make it easy for you.

(1 round requieres 100 points)

You can either kill 90 enemies and hoard 90 points with bonus 10 and rush that second round. Total kills needed: 90.

Or you can either kill 60 enemies and desposit at 15 bonus 8 (4 times) and get 92 points total. Then you kill an extra 6 enemies with bonus 2 and you get the remaining 8 points. Total kills needed: 66

How can you even call this skipping when it is clear it requieres more work? Let's skip it by having to kill 24 more enemies, yeah, great skip, mate.

That makes no sense, but good job hurting his ego

Because the enemies in the first round have way less health. Also because the other team members are supposed to be handing in their points regularly. It's also easier, if you happen to not have good enough gear to be one-shotting late round-2 silver index enemies anyways.

If the damage in round 2 is the problem, then that's their personal skill issue, not a valid argument of hoarding points and make the game objectivly slower.

Killing 90 enemies will always take longer than killing 66 enemies when you oneshot them, which I can do, so there is no reason to have hoarders in my squad that slows me by 30% each round by hoarding the points.

If you have to deposit the points regulary so the rounds take 30% less time to complete and you rather preffer to hoard them, then you're just trolling or you ignore the basics of index.

At this point you are just arguing against numbers.

I like to deposit around 33 points at a time. Makes it more likely that a team mate will finish the round. Hoarding 100 makes no sense.

It's usually a gear issue, more than skill issue. It's not like the enemies are anything complex or special. Index is pretty low-tier, but it's the first main way newer players have to make large chunks of money without having really good loadouts.

You can complain about the exact efficiency of it all you want, but the reason's still the same. They're doing it to basically complete 2 rounds worth of fighting in the first round, and skip most or all of the second round.

33 total or 33+bonus 10?

I'm leaving this table here for whoever wants to see it, so I don't double post.

Points | Bonus| Total | Efficiency
1 +0 1 +0%
4 +0 4 +0%
5 +2 7 +40%
9 +2 11 +22.2222%
10 +4 14 +40%
14 +4 18 +28.5714%
15 +8 23 +53.3333% <------------ Best by far.
19 +8 27 +42.1053%
20 +10 30 +50%
24 +10 34 +41.6667%
25 +10 35 +40%
From the wiki.

Alright, let's say they are behind a gear issue and they are not cappable of killing round 2 enemies, which I can understand.

Then, just kill 66 enemies in round 1 and score efficiently to earn 100 points and then replay round 1.

Killing 66 enemies 2 times (132) and scoring efficiently and redo the game is better than killing 90 enemies 2 times (180) and non scoring efficiently.

If your main argument is their gear beying bad, banking efficiently is the best way of killing less, since 132 kills is less than 180 kills, and if your gear is THAT bad, killing less will benefit you.

You start your thread with an incorrect statement. You say "It's always full of..." and I've never actually found anyone... So, when I need to get in for whatever reason (Usually for Nightwave missions), I apply the old trusty rule of calling my Warframe buddies to help me.
