As for the weapon side of the topic; I can agree that generally DE doesn't buff things all that much; but do nerf things on a regular basis according to whatever usage and popularity charts they are following or prioritizing number wise at a given time. If you like a gun, I guess try to encourage others not to use it all that often or don't play large amounts of time with your favored gear, switch around a lot to "game" the numbers. Unfortunately there isn't anything practical you can do besides having a varied arsenal geared to switch to whenever DE decides to nerf the current popular thing and push the a new hotness.
I believe you.
The First Descendant really is a lot like the best design elements of Warframe and Destiny but with far worse QoL. I think people should try it just to understand what makes it kind of hateable.
D2 and TFD are designed to take your money and piss you off.
Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic are good but not as heavily focused on live service or gameplay variety and instead of some plot they have basically zero plot and only one hub area.
Deep Rock Galactic though, I've only seen universal praise from the playerbase. It has a progression system and an endgame from what I've known
Its situation is actually very similar to Warframe in this regard. Both games have lots of players that only approve of buffs and never nerfs. Lots of people who don't understand why balance exists and why it's bad that one guy can take the fun away from others by using OP stuff that makes their efforts meaningless in comparison. Also both games have tons of people who don't want challenging content to exist because it ruins their power fantasy. There are people who enjoy challenging content and this power fantasy crowd wants to deny other people of their fun for their own enjoyment. I still remember when SP was added to WF, it was ridiculous how butthurt some players were.
It's much slower-paced than Warframe; it's more akin to a souls-like with guns. But the co-op is pretty good, the gameplay is fun, the locales are fun to explore, and there are lots of secrets to find.
