I started a team mission BECAUSE it should be easier to defend multiple points when you are in a team. Thats the point of it. I wasn't expecting people to not do the obejctive and run randomly around for some reason.
In the other modes you can get away with it. Assuming they're capable. In void cascade... prolly not. You need enemies to clear the cascade, and they don't put cascades near others always.
Good luck telling pubs that though.
I can solo a cascade on solo. I can't solo it when my entire team is on the other side of the map eating spawns and I have more rifts to deal with.
When the mission involves something other than that and you start it with randos then... understand there is a risk.
just try again or by all means play solo if you can't bear playing with other people enjoying the game a different way than you.
Zariman's new missions are very clearly not intended for solo play. Most of them require doing whatever it is you need to be doing constantly, but then there are voidplumes to hunt down and a void angel to kill on top of all that. None of these things are necessarily difficult, but even if you can take out an angel's bar super quickly and have stuff like golden instinct or parallex to find things for you, even just ignoring the main objectives for a few seconds can cost you the mission on higher rotations.
So they probably assumed that you had the objective handled, and went off to do the other important stuff. I would have done the same thing if I saw one or two players clearly doing the objective.
You clearly see the meter on the left and it was going into red for some time - I had like 6 Thrax on me, so I didn't have time to go for the next fissures.
I guess I have just bad luck in pubs then.
or maybe don't start missions you can't handle in the hope of getting carried by your fellow tennos. And when you do : TELL THEM you actually can't handle the mission or else they will assume you can, how could they know you're just leeching if you don't speak to them.
If you don't know, being in a team means there are way more Thrax soldiers.
I'm just wondering if this objective is designed properly. As others mentioned, there is so much stuff to do on Zariman. But this one mission keeps giving me headaches.
In solo it is annoying to do, because you have to run around constantly , from fissure to fiussure, you don't have much time to breath. Maybe you guys are doing it easly, I clearly don't have the optimal stuff for it. And I need parts for the weapons.
On the other hand doing them in a team should be easy. More people, they can spread out, you don't have to constantly jump from room to room.
But there is the problem. Either the design is cannibalizing itself (people don't do obejctives, because they hun sideobjectives, which makes keeping up the points even harder for 1 or 2 people). Or people have trouble understanding the objective itself.
Nah, void cascades aren't very difficult. It's a pretty normal process so long as you can kill stuff quickly and have anything better than a mote amp. It helps if you have stuff that can pull enemies into the purifier's AoE to charge it up faster, but that's not strictly necessary either. It's easier with grineer than corpus though, since grineer like to get closer, but corpus will comfortably sit right outside the bubble.
You ideally should be clearing one fissure at a time, but it shouldn't be taking you long to do it.
But yeah, doing it solo you won't have much time for anything else. With a Parallax you can find some things along the way, but I don't recommend going for an angel solo unless you've already completed a rotation with plenty of time to spare, and you're going to extract right after the fight.
I don't. It's a neat-ish feature in modes that aren't pressed for time, but cascade can get pressed faster than you'd think.
It's far more likely they were thinking, cool this dude is doing the cascade thingy we're doing something we wanna do.
