i dont know what the point of this post, warframe already among the top graphical, texture and model wise and so by being 10 year game, you can already judge that the design team is probably among the top best in the world to be able to keep up with the changes

Unreal engine, no thank you, too many devs will go for that.
BUt I would like Ray Tracing, with how crazy this game goes iwth the lightning, I think it could be spectacular.

are you nuts? textures are of top graphical quality? what?, models? what?

Yeah, no. Digital Extremes uses a custom, in-house engine that does exactly what they need it to do. Why would they pay someone else to use their tech that isn't designed for their specific needs?

This game is held together with black magic, gum, and the Christmas wishes of tiny children.
Edit: And it looks pretty damn good, so... why?

Problem is ray-tracing is still too inefficient, the gains are too minor, and Warframe is a game played at such a fast pace that there is virtually no time to stop and appreciate it. I'm sure it'll look good in a promo photo, though, but for day-to-day gameplay I don't see the point.

Maybe get some basic knowledge about game development and engines and about what kind of changes Warframe has gone through before making these threads.

This is the only game on Steam that I'm able to upscale my resolution to around 5K or so (yes, above 4K) at a steady 144 - 165 FPS with every graphical setting available capped and maxed.

This is all while there's 40 enemies around me and three teammates activating their abilities.

It's the most optimized video game on the market. If you're not getting good performance, or you're maxed out like me and it still doesn't look good to you, there's some confusion here.

Lol what. There is exactly 0.0000000% chance for them to switch engines. It would be the dumbest idea in the game development world, to switch an engine to entirely different after 10 years of development. You can't even comprehend how much work it would require. Literal years.

Actually they USED to use Nvidia software for particles until they made their in-house particle engine for the game, if anything they'd develop their own in-house rendition of Raytracing.

DE uses their own engine

more death animations, more mobs, maybe more "shader" effects would improve graphics greatly. maybe more depth of field in backgrounds, they should just focus on making more detailed new content, like for example world of warcraft varies in graphic style you get old content that is extremely square compared to latest stuff.

OP, that's your answer. 10 years of work just to go back to zero, nah
Kinda ironic asking that, given early DE helped co create Unreal (1998), whos game engine went on to become the Unreal Engine people know today.

Given WF does alot of stuff really well on its own engine (and as someone mentioned its really well optimised), not sure why you'd want them to swap over to something else with no real benefit at all.

Not sure why improving WF's graphics is such a needed thing, it already looks great even on low settings... games got shaders out the wazoo, you only need more shaders if you actually need them for something... no point needlessly adding more if you dont need em. They've been updating older content for years as well, the new corpus tileset as an example.

ragdolls make every death unique. more mobs? have you checked the codex? we have enough. theres plenty of shaders to ♥♥♥♥ with in settings if you did deep enough. and don't compare this game to WoW.
