This is the best tool for learning prices.
Basically any prices you see in game are going to be extortionate, yes. Reasonable prices are better found on warframe market, linked by Phaelinx.
I've bought and sold hundreds of plat in items and I've never ever touched Maroo's bazaar or the trade channel, and I wince every time I glance at either.
Will it be fairer? If you're the buyer, maybe.
I won't say it's not fair for the seller, but I won't say it's not not fair either.
warframe.market is great, but you have to remember since it's a third party site and mostly unregulated, the prices will fluctuate sometimes minute to minute and players are always trying to downprice to sell asap and it's hard to tell if there are bots automatically trying to undersell you..
all in all the warframe.market site is good and you can make quick and easy plat plus they have liches and rivens, just don't get too caught up in the marketing because it's clearly not stable so staking out things for a few weeks before buying will ensure the best knowledge of pricing
I know, impossible complexity.
Also no worries, I won't be getting too into the market and stuff, I like the game and don't want to ruin it by getting purely into chasing currency.
People buy and sell for whatever they can get away with. You can't 'trust' any of it. You go by how much you're willing to buy/sell something for, and whether or not you can find a better price elsewhere, or are willing to wait until one shows up.
No.. Nobody is extorting you.
What you see is just the free liquid market.
It`s not rocket science.
Some primes are better or worse, some were unvaulted recently, some are available right now, others have not been in the rotation in forever. Lots of factors affect prices, a Branton will be far cheaper than a Vectis and there's nothing odd about that.
Plus the prime resurgence stuff causes even more fluctuation in price. But hasnt reduced prices
