Can I "blacklist" a player
So I can't be matched with him?
I just had a session where I was doing bounties with people. And like 5 times in a row I got the same guy, he was always the host and always aborted the mission right at the end, because he couldn't wait ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 10 seconds for the rest to get to extractions.

2 of those migrations failed, 1 literally froze my game and I had to restart.

Really annoying.

They really need some kind of deprioritization system for bad hosts. But no, I don't think you can block a specific player from grouping with you like that.

they really need to rework the networking and hosting and actually give options that work, but I believe DE can't actually improve it because the person(s) who originally wrote the netcode left the company years ago out of spite and took their knowledge with them.. a years old rumor but I could very well be that DE actually lacks the knowledge of how their spaghetti code works in that department

Being someone who works at EA, I can absolutely believe this.

I hope DE adds this option to block unwanted players soon because should have had this a long time ago.

Don't think there's any way to actually control whether you'll be hosting or getting dropped into someone else's mission.

Go into the free roam area, leave the squad you got matched with, start bounties from there, you will be host when others join you.

Ah, fair. For free roam areas, that makes sense.

don't get me started on the people who use void rigs to wipe out enemy ships before the enemies even get to the ground undermining the entire squad's chances of getting kills, leveling, simply having fun...

most gamers are diks and that's just a fact

Uhhh... killing ships quickly is most definitely not being a '♥♥♥'. Aside from the fact that you'll get full exp so long as you're within affinity sharing range, many of the bounty objectives on PoE have bonus objectives that specifically hinge on killing enemies as quickly as possible, and NOT doing something like that can easily cost you that bonus.

Sure it's not as much fun if you're the lowbie just sitting there watching, but people aren't doing it spite you, either. There's legitimate reasons to be destroying them as fast as possible. A common example is when you have to clear an enemy camp and prevent them from 'retaking' it. Downing the dropships before they offload troops is easily one of the best ways to both keep enemies out of the zone, and rack up kills to keep the meter low so you don't lose the bonus.

Instead of joining random games which random players have random objective and random connection speed.
You may want to form a squad from "recruited" players, friends, clanmates, discord guys, which they know what is your objective as you explained to them.

You can't solve loneliness ;3

You can call on AI teammates if you feel lonely.
Like, on-call crew girl who came at your room when called, free of service charge.

The game picks the host, not you...
