Is Valence Fusion Worth it??
I just got a second Tenet Arca Plasmor from doing Sisters Of Parvos and wanted to Valence Fusion.

It went from:
Toxin 26%
|
v
Toxin 28.9%

"Valence Fusion combines two of the same Kuva or Tenet weapons into one with a higher Elemental Bonus, multiplying the highest bonus of the two weapons by 1.1, capping at 60% bonus."

It is absolutely worth it if you intend to make the most of the weapon.

Personally, I would hold off on valence fusion until you get one of a higher percentage. The final bonus you get is equal to 110% of the higher bonus of the two you fuse. For example, if you were to get lucky (or trade) for a Tenet Arca Plasmor with a 40% bonus, you would go to 44% with your first fusion and 48.4% with your second.

If you get a weapon with a bonus higher than 52.8%, you will get it to 60% in a single fusion since 58% or higher gets rounded up to the max of 60%

Even if you get a lower percentage (like in op`s case) its still a better deal than selling the duplicate for credits.

How is all that grind worth it for 2 or 3 percent more toxin? Makes no sense, should double toxic or at least add more than 15 percent additional toxin, after grinding for two T.A.P.s, imo. ggs.

26.3 to 28.9 seems negligible.

It depends on RNG, you could get a 60% weapon right off the bat or a >50% to fuse with your existing one, or you could get a 25% one every time and kill 9 liches to max a weapon out like me.

I hear you, but dude, the grind is very long for 2 or 3 or more tenets (assuming one can do the fusion multiple times). It would be nice if there was a higher RNG minimum. You know what I'm saying? A few percent feels very RNG low to me.

EDIT: Wait! Wait! You killed 9 liches. NINE? That's dedication. Respect, and also really single-purposed, but you got the top-tier outcome, so I can't argue with that. :-) GGs

I am NOT personally grinding 9. lol. I will struggle to grind ordinary KUVA weapons. IS a maxed out Tenet any better than other incarnon or kuva weapons? IDK.

I honestly do admire all top warframe players' tenacity. Go tenno. :-)

Arca Plasmor, Cycron, Glaxion and Plinx are pretty good, and Tenet weapons in general are much easier to get than Kuva on account of how fast you get murmur. My average is like 2 hours on a lich and 1 hour on a sister, could drop it to like 30 minutes on the latter if I get lucky to get the right weapon quick and use an Oull.

Cool. that makes sense. So OP should have an easier time acquiring and combining them. all good. ggs.
It's not a linear progression like you're going to get only 2 percent all the time. Sometimes, you'll get ones that are way higher, even some that are 60%, and when you fuse those into ones with lower percentages, it'll take over the higher percentage plus a few points. Overall, worth grinding out since it's basically a free element mod and especially for status+g savvy weapons.

It's also a good way side grind if you ever find yourself grinding for lich ephemeras. You can fuse undesired elements like impact but keep the original element.

It's 10% on top of whichever weapon has better %. So if you combine 28.9% with 40% you get 44% or if you combine it with 55% you get 60% which is max. And your weapon retains all its formas and ranks which kind of is the original purpose of valance, it exists so that you don't have to replace your weapon and waste all the formas and grind that has gone to leveling it. That 10% extra mainly exists so that people don't waste their entire lives going from 50% to 60% because natural 60% is extremely rare.
