Yeah, I am sure it was probably intended though I think the real meaning of someone trapped in a situation that is fake but seems like a paradise to them and only by rejecting everything they love of that setting can they return to normal is more interesting.

Edit: Maybe its better to have some context. I am referring to a Lotus Eater trap or scenario. Think the Black Mercy story in the Justice League cartoon for example; in that Superman gets a space plant on his chest which parasites him as it shows him a false reality where Krypton never died and his people still live. The phrase itself comes from stuff like the Odyssey. Where a civilization is found that just lazes around in an existence where they seemingly have no care in the world and seemingly content due to eating the plants on the island, the Lotus. Essentially a story that is often compared to drug culture like Opium Dens and the like in stories like those of Sherlock Holmes,

Despite many moons on the Internet, Reb is still... innocent in some ways. I have no idea how, but I respect that she's maintained it. It actually is possible that... she didn't think of how else it might be interpreted.

On the other hand, she is also a troll. She might be entirely aware of the connotations here.

I'm also morbidly awaiting the terrible fanfictions that will arise from this.

In seriousness, I know there must've been some real shenanigans afoot for Lotus to be able to shift Lua into the Void in the first place.

But the title of the quest is... shall we say suggestive as to the details of how it went down (pun intended), so I have to admit to curiosity.

Yes, though it is possible that the command station she was sitting in within Lua might have allowed that, akin to how Necraloid Loid mentions that they and the Entrati pulled Deimos into the Void as well to avoid problems before the Heart Problems started. It might make sense that Lua had some device similar though how Lotus survived inside Lua if it was inside the Void is weird.

You know, that line from Necraloid Loid makes sense at the time as to explain why no one before that time had knowledge of Deimos - its been gone since at least the Fall - but most of the quests involving it are sorta timey whimey in their in-game dialogue and narratives. Maybe in time those can be ironed out, At least part of the reason is that the area was moved earlier due to the Covid outbreak to make sure there was something new and exciting during the quarantines and such and Deimos was supposed to show after New War or something like that, but eh it still is a bit weird.

I think in the context of warframe "lotus eater" means a place where you can go on a video game power fantasy with a fun looter shooter, and forget about 'the real world' for a short while.

"This game is so good, we'll have to drag you back to the real world, so that you can touch grass and do your work, errands, duties, and engage with real people, (not AI alien enemies) etc !" lol
