People complain about 'content bubbles' that are isolated snippets of content and rewards that don't reach much beyond the state they were released in.
People complain about anything that is even tangentially connected to archwings.
Railjack is all of these.
I like it too, though.
Most of the time if I try railjack in public. The hosts railjack is weak and gets destroyed quickly. I don't even know if RJ missions have anything worth grinding for.
I also enjoy doing Railjack stuff, but it's just an unfortunate fact that there's a lot stacked against it.
It's kinda a problem since people wanting this stuff that don't like railjack are forced through a painful farm they want nothing to do with.
Things I hope to see some day in Warframe's railjack gameplay:
- Maps that are larger in all three axes, especially greater depth in the Z-axis.
- Optional, explorable structures farther above or below the middle region, and maybe even Easter eggs near the edges of the playable volume of space or hidden inside a ruined structure.
- Maps that contain historical Easter eggs, such as Voyager 1 or 2. A secret Mir or an up-gunned Almaz space station that the West never learned of. Maybe we find a long-defunct James Webb that drifted out of a parking-orbit or a remnant of a fictional kill-vehicle from an alternate 1980s "Star Wars" program that never got shut down. A stealth-Tiangong flown by China, Vast Space's Haven-series commercial station, the ISRO's Bharatiya Antariksha Station, JAXA's Mitsui JSSM, or any other planned space vehicles that are being developed.
I know, I know! This is very much wistful, wishful thinking but a turbo-nerd often dreams of things they may never see, come to life (or in entertainment media).lack of objective variety and lacking any tests of piloting skill. armament are useless, and the non standard ones seem to slide off enemies, railjack abilities have a distinct meta spam making the force irrelevant at high levels
Not really, since there's now the AI squad you can grab & upgrade. I run missions solo w/ them and do just fine, originally it was more team-pushing; but in 2.0 form its much more approachable. Also while its been put on a back-burner w/ no future plans outside of the Techrot Encore Techrot tiles for it, Steve and Reb did seem at least to be keeping an eye on it as the tide has started seemingly turning towards people showing interest and being positive towards it. Not abandoned but also not a priority, if there's interest shown it's possible to have it revisited in the future and the best time to show said interest is once Techrot Encore launches by engaging with the missions for it that involve RJ.
I agree and disagree with many things you mention, but this particular bit is just a hard no. I don't want to have anything like this if its meant like skill checks. I want fun not Dark Souls pilot edition.
Very cool but unfortunately isolated mode
The AI crew do enough, but not nearly as much as real players.
I mean that's convenience not that the entire mode difficulty-wise is aimed at teams, the reason I'm clarifying this is anyone that hasn't interacted with it yet and could misunderstand. Though I will say that I've never had an engineer get downed, had Defenders get it. Regardless I've never had to or wanted to squad up with other players, the only mode that's gotten me aggravated is Volatile and that has nothing to do with ship combat.
It is fun but all upgrades are quickly farmed and DE has stopped giving any updates to Railjack.
there's definitely potential for it to be good however
