Apex Tank Hate Post
I genuinely hate this thing. I cant even get to the second part of the fight. Once the eximus enemies spawn in its basically impossible for me to get any further before dying to some unknown cause. Its infuriating as im constantly in a loop of getting knocked down and shot. I genuinely don't know what else to do, it feels completely unmanageable.

However I also recognize that this is a complete skill issue. I'm currently trying this with mag so any build tips would be heavily appreciated.

Just stand on it with Primed Sure Footed.
Rolling Guard, Vazarin's invuln, PSF, and Fast Deflection is what I used. You can also bring a Vasca kavat as insurance to revive you, they'll be downed most of the time, but when you get downed, you can just revive them and they'll revive you. Rage/Adrenaline and Nullifier Arcane to keep energy up.

Hang out near the edges, staying in the air is the key to not getting nulled, destroying the balloons will also . Armor stripped Latron and an incarnon secondary like Laetum are great choices since ammo will be low. When the tank comes in, armor strip by shooting the weakpoints, then use the secondary to charge up and finish the job.

When the reinforcements get called in, shoot the parachute that the rpg troop is using, the gravity should kill him right away, then using rolling guard, grab it, shoot ONCE, drop it somewhere safe, destroy weakpoints, grab rpg, and shoot. Kamikaze the context. Should take about a minute to a minute and a half.

As for the second part, same slam stuff, staying close and destroying those flame pillars are super important. There aren't any null stuff, so it's the easier phase.

Primed sure footed. 100% knockdown resist.

I use Revenant for missions like that or, anything difficult in general. Revenants 2 literally makes him immortal. I highly recommend getting him.

Apex's toxin attacks nullify, so while it would be great in phase 2, it's extremely risky in first form. Plus OP is probably trying to get accolades.
Climb up onto the ledge over the blocked tunnel exit and stand there and shoot the green spots on top.

When i ran each of the protoframe frames for the glyphs, i just modded each for maximum survivability. Abuse shield gating, equip primed sure footed and adaptation. Then equip a Sampotes and heavy ground slam spam the bejeezus out of him. Just make sure sampotes has Shattering Impact equipped so you can strip the apex's armor. That way it only takes 2 RPG shots to clear a health bar.

EZPZ.
I didn't know this fight even had mechanics the first few times I did it. I shot the soft bits in the first phase, but then just ran up with Valkyr and pressed 4 for the rest.

As others have mentioned Primed sure footed usually helps with knockdowns, rolling guard to give immunity same with vazarin schools dash, You could use the Unairu school as well since on transference you get poise for 30-40 seconds which gives immunity to slow, stagger and knock back as well plus being able to pick yourself back up is nice if you have a decent amp to kill some thing with.

If you don't have prime sure footed you could sub in regular sure footed+fortitude for 100% knockdown resist though only if you can afford the couple mod slots.

Usually Sure Footed+Fortitude is the next best option if your not at the login days for Primed Sure Footed and or you dont like using the Unairu school for poise.

Make sure your survival is also up to the challenge whether your shield gating or stacking Damage reductions.

You can subsume Trin's 1 and get its augment if you feels like you're going to be bullshitted by, say, the second phase viral multiattack. Either phase, there's a lot of adds you can cast it on, and it's a free life. I mainly used it on maggots phase 2.

The farthest I got it was the big fire tentacles that got me ultimately. rn my loadout is Laetum, nataruk, and vastilok for armor strip.
Prioritize destroying the tentacles the second they pop up. Makes second phase super easy.

Yeah I just need a better primary, laetum has been the only consistent damage dealer for me
