So, today I finally did it.

... aaaand it didn't save afterwards. Well. I can confirm now, it does conflicts with PA boosters.
Are you kidding me. Tinуurl is not supported?! Steam censors it.
Edit: should work now. I'm the pinacle of concentrated editorium.

In any case, I'm pretty happy about finding it. At least I've seen it by now.

I had the same issue and reported it to support. Even though I had a dozen screenshots, they couldn't get my the things I lost because "there is no record for us to reference."

No record. Dozen screenshots. A rare fail from DE tech support.

Well, that concludes my search for those containers for the next forseeable future. From all I gathered, it's not really worth the hassle of going everywhere on a Void map repeatedly. If there would be a high chance to get a potato from it, okay. But for a half-hour boost and/or some blueprints/Forma? No, thanks.

I only occasionally hunt them now to scan them for codex' sake. 25 and 50 (!) scans required for each specific rare container.
But I will NOT open them.

They are not exclusive to Void maps. They can spawn anywhere on any map. I found one on the Halloween event map from two weeks ago. (Reinforced Grineer Storage Container)

As soon as I said it here and did the next mission, I accidentially ran into one. Kept the stuff, by the way.
For those interested: was a Paris Prime BP, about 25k creds, one Forma and an hour long affinity booster. Not that great, but not bad either.

I don't really look for them specifically. I already explore all maps as a habit in solo mode with Master Thief + Loot Detector. These new containers are just an extra thing I keep a sharp eye out for.
If I open these rare container, it won't save my pickups at the end due to that error and absolutely everything I have picked up in that mission will be lost.

Each faction has a Reinforced Crate.
Grineer have their Reinfocred Grineer Container, Corpus their Reinforced Corpus Container... and Orokin... the Reinfo- screw it, you know the name.

Yeah, they each have their own Colours as well. I think Grineer are Red/Orange (Some cxolour like that), Orokin are in the picture above, not sure about the Corpus ones, though.
