Which are the best Warframes now?
Hey guys.

Got a level 27 Rhino and am thinking about what to create next.

Frost used to be really good (or the best?), but now it sounds like they suck..?

So what can a guy like me go for now..? I am not pro at this game, so my gaming skills vs high level monsters suck... And only good a boltor/flame swords which are good atm...

i could really use some expert help in order to make the best out of this game :-)

Don't forget chroma:
With the right setup you can become almost indestructible. Chroma is one of the best tanks (if not the best) in the game. But that is also everything he can do. Not really a team orriented frame.

"There's no objecitevely best Warframe as there is no objectively best weapon."

is false.

there are many crap frames and many crap weapons.
On the other side of the coin some weapons are just better at its job than rest.

Even games like dota or league of legends which are zealous on balance are not completely balanced.

But if someone would argue that you dont have to use exclusively "top tier" equipment and do just fine, they would not be wrong.

-Ember used to be extremely strong with her Overheat. It was replaced making her relatively weak. She still ca nroast some chicken, but when it comes to fighting against mid-high levels - she just burst down. One day you'll get your mark, chickenhead, one way or another. Role is damage/Nuker.

Correction on Ember.
Much like Equinox she's great at semi-CC, due to Ember's #4 also stunlocks enemies while dealing considerable damage, could also use her accelerant to boost fire base damage. With a proper loadout, you can even further that damage.

Ember is totally capable of high-end missions, and can hold her own. With augment, she can even be a slight defensive frame that guards / protects objectives.
This is a year old thread, I was talking about Ember pre-patch. Somebody necroed it and now it's here.

P.S. Local Defensive - no, it's not false. While there are weapons that might be better or worse than others in certain situations - majority can be extremely effective when used properly. Same goes for Warframes, stuff like Frost is bad for Spy missions, but Loki is great, it doesn't make Frost objectively worse than Loki, though. There's no objectively best frame or weapons - everything has it's own uses, with some exceptions.

P.P.S. I'm still on vacation, so I won't be participating in this forum's activity for some time more.

Each one has it's own purpose and role. I willl try to explain some, beat me to the pulp if I say something incorrect (or forget someone).
Khm khm:
-Frost excells at defense at light CC. His globe has 4 seconds of invulnerability before it can be damaged. With some augment mods he gains some CC.

-Rhino is jack of all trades. He's not extremely tanky, but he has damage buff, mainly used in groups for his CC capabilities and damage boosting ability. With augment mods he can become much tankier AND a light nuker.

-Nova is, hands down, ultimate nuker. Her main role is heavy CC and damage, but she's incredibly squishy. With good Nova entire room will be slowed and getting x2 damage from any source of it.

-Nyx is queen of manipulation, goddess of CC. Formely known as Nadia Sudek (from Dark Sector) she can bring peace through Chaos and stunlock entire room with chaining her Absorb. Or just nuke it by holding Absorb's charge.

-Valkyr right now is one of two tankiest frames in game. She has insane amount of armour (that can go up to 1200), being a berserker frame she's melee focus, has stun (with augment mod gives her a fantastique CC), has big claws. Rawr.

-Vauban is like a bas tard (really steam, you going to censor this?) big brother of Nyx. While her CC focuses on controlling entire room, Vauban excells with his short range Vortex and can make about 40 meters of any map impassable with his augmented bastille. And jump pad. Fill the room with them and lock tenno inside. Just do it once.

-Limbo, the newcomer. Being a mathematician frame he... resembles mathematics in no way, actually. He is tricky to use and learn, but can be extremely good at basically any mission, you jsut have to remember when and where to place Rift. He has invulnerability abilities and kinda... weird CC at his disposal. Has tophat. Ain't need a thing, if it ain't has that swing. Benefits from Efficiency/Duration for extra small but potent Rift and more then a minute of invulnerability.

-Mesa, the gunslinger. She is the second tankiest frame in the game, ranged brother from another mother of Valkyr, her abilities let her nuke entire room up until lvl 60-70, lock weapons of her enemies, gain near invulnerability with her third skill or just make a giant BLAAARGH shot with her one. Benefits from Strenth/Efficiency/Range

-Loki is one the oldest frames. And one of the best. He has invisibility, decoys, teleport, CC, with augment he's like a mini-Nyx (grrrr). Prime version has swweeeeetest helmet you could imagine. Disarm build is Range/Efficiency, invisibility is Duration/Efficiency.

-Hydroid is... relatively new frame. DE tries to make him better but right now he's probably one of the weakest frames. Sorry, bearded guy. I really want you to become better, I do. In any case, he has decent CC with his ultimate and semi decent with his Barrage. Augmented puddle heals. Augmented tidal wave removes debuffs.

-Ember used to be extremely strong with her Overheat. It was replaced making her relatively weak. She still ca nroast some chicken, but when it comes to fighting against mid-high levels - she just burst down. One day you'll get your mark, chickenhead, one way or another. Role is damage/Nuker.

-Zephyr is third of "tankiest frames ever" toyline. Being a wind themed frame, she excels at.. well, movement. Her Turbulence, however, gives her near invincibility, also wrecking enemies' aim and protecting everything around her in a pretty wide bubble. She's basically a sentient Frost's Sphere, that dig itself out and just went to town. And grew a beak. Has decent CC in form of Tornados. Maximize Efficiency/Range/Duration for maximum effect.

-Mirage is a fantastic damage dealer. Despite being extremely squishy, just like Nova, she more then defensively sound because of her Hall of Mirrors and Eclipse, play her right and see numbers go up, while also being almost never shot at. Has a fantastic ultimate, that combines immense nuking potential with CC (blind) Her Prism build benefits from maximum Range/Strength/Efficiency, while her Hall of Mirrors is Strength/Duration/Efficiency.

-Saryn is elusive and venomous. She is one of the strongest nukers in the game, and while she doesn't scale too too well with level, she still remains slippery and dangerous like a snake. Her 4 is, literally, "Kill All" button, her 1 can bring entire room down to 25% of it's initial health if played right and her 2 makes is more then enough for her to feel calm behind her Shedded Skin, tanking all the shots in front of her.

-Nekros is walking loot machine. With nekros in your team you can triple or even quadruple loot gained from enemies. He also has decent CC in form of his Terrify and mediocre summoning spell.

-Oberon is another jack of all trades, just like Rhino. And he's also pretty tanky. But, unlike Rhino, Oberon is mostly all about buffing allias, healing them and debuffing enemies. Has some decent CC in form of his ultimate, augmented Hollowed Ground can be exploded for a mini-nuke effect, has hooves. And goatee. Drops from eximus units.

-Mag is the only frame, that is nuker AND scales indefinatelly with level. Meaning, she's the only one that can oneshot enemies in the Void at 6 hours of T4 Survival with single press of the button. She is exceptional against Corpus and Corrupted, not so against Grineer. Has the ability to immediatly restore shields to entire team, some CC in form of a fantastic Pull and mediocre Crush. Her Bullet Attractor looks cool, but it not really useful ultimately, because it goes against her basic nuker build.

-Trinity is healer of Warframe. She can make so you will never run out of energy, health, she can tank with her Link, even though she was nerfed multiple times - she's still extremely potent. Can't fix something, that is OP at it's core. Like ability to be basically immortal.

-Volt is usually overlooked, despite being one of the stronger warframes. He has Speed ability, that affects speed of the melee (more hits=more bodies for Nekros to drool over), his main ability, however, is his Shield. Not only it protects from the front, it also increases the speed of any projectile that lfies through it, increases range to near infinity, increases critical chance and critical multiplier. To think of it, Volt is basically dwarf of this game. He stands in one place, builds a fortress and then fills it with guns. Lacks beard. Has high heels.

In my wall of text I explained pluses and minuses of each frame and suggested how they could be played. Hope it helps.
If you have more questions, ask them.

you forgot a warframe, "excalibur"
