http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Tenno
If you're reffering to Captain Vor saying that Tenno are the energy that power the Warframe I believe he was reffering to their command and mastery of void energy.
During the Arid Fear event Vor even references that we are flesh and blood inside the suits and wonders why Alad V seems to think that the suits are the tenno themselves considering the Corpus faction's own background with links to the Orokin.
I believe the entire energy being theory started with Vor's line in the Vor's Prize Quest where he references us as the energy that the suits focus, to paraphase. I believe this line to be metaphor as many of the Grineer seem quite fond of very symbolic speech. In the same mission Vor also mentions that his scientists pulled tenno out of the suits and the Warframes themselves wouldn't work right without a living tenno inside.
In Vor's Prize Vor also mentions that the Ascaris is almost attached to the Tenno's spine, which further reinforces that they are flesh and blood.
orokin made the virus and made the warframe by infecting the people and casting them into the void. the stalker is the last remaining member of the orokin supporters that remembers the atrocities committed by the warframes and all warframes has amnesia.
Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 4 has a cyborg body, only his brain and half of his head is real flesh and blood. Everything below him is artificially made.
Just because something bleed, doesn't mean it 'flesh and blood'.
PS. MoAs are also capable of bleeding, as well as Ospreys. Hyenas, and lots of Corpus robotics.

I did. While I believe the majority of the discussion was before the Second Dream; you are quite right. The Second Dream does say outright that the Warframes are more Surrogates or Avatars than suit. I will be the first to admit that I thought the warframes were suits - power suits of sorts - but instead the Warframes are infested creatures created to not have a will of their own that we then use Void Transference to control as if the warframes were our own bodies. The warframes bleed because they are techno-organic tissues and metals even though according to Alad V, the infested blood tissues inside don't have the normal organs and such - giving rise to Alad V being sure we have no eyes. Vor and Lt Kril have always hinted we had flesh and blood inside the warframes but while I am sure Vor knew more about our nature, Lt Kril probably was also going by just destroying the outer layers of the warframe and revealing the infested mass inside. Either way, I liked the direction taken for the Second Dream and hope we get more quests like it.
