Primed Heated Charge?
I want it, got enough ducats for it but i find myself hesitating.

You who've bought previous primed mods, i'm curious about how much resources do you have to dump on these things to rank em past their normal counterparts?

As the potential for extra 75% fire damage sure is tempting.. :cupcakeelf:

513 R5 cores, its not worth it. half that for rank 9 which is slightly more worth it

Yeah, kinda thinking it's not but it's still tempting.

Also 2m+ credits to max primed mods.

Personally I'm just getting them now to eventually use them later or level them through a longer period of time. Those things can be quite invaluable to me since lately I have far more problem with the limit of 8 mods on weapon than with drain capacity.

Honestly it's a great mod, since it's affected by the base damage mods (I believe). However, I don't find myself using fire in weapons too much so, I don't find it good.

Hm, sounds kinda pricey.

What about 120% though, anyone happen to have a resource/price estimate for that?

EDIT: As no point getting the mod if you won't put it to use, but since maxing it is require so much money and cores, maybe a lesser rank would suffice.. for now.

In the long run its worth it for the extra damage. So eh...i still got it ill max it sooner or later.

It's a fairly pathetic mod (*cough*primedsteadyhands*cough*) compared to some of the previous ones and what has been hoped for, though you can always get it to sell for plat as it has the innate appeal of being a "Prime" mod.

Every subsequent rank is double the last one. Use that to figure it out.

If my math is right it seems to be about 65. But for just Rank 7 I don't find it to be worth it. Still an improvement though, certainly.

Well, don't have the 2 mil to throw at it right now.. hell, i barely have money for the mod as it is, as need to sell dupe regular schemas to afford it (thanks syndicate fees!) so meh, it's tasty but i suppose i could sell it somewhere down the line too or whatever.

Oh and Steady Hands, how is that better than Heated Charge?
HiTmAn Jan 23, 2015 @ 8:51pm
steady hands are great for dual cestra cz kik like mule...
For many, its not worth it.
To me, its worth it. I could use the extra damage, a lot. To save mysself the trouble of killing things in the far future.

How much do you like ember?

How much do you value either maximizing your power (say in synoid gammacor or vaykor marelok), or making a weapon of your choosing closer to viable?

As is 90% heat damage beats 60% cold on secondaries. So this is most definitely the best elemental mod to use after corrosive or viral if you have 4 corrosive projection for the void. Which is really the only place where there's any reason to even worry about elemental damage weaknesses or maximizing damage to begin with.

Strictly because void keys are limited and you have to farm specifically for them.

If you never care to go past 40 minutes in T4S or 40 waves in T4D, then this mod is basically pointless for you. Complete overkill, entirely unnecessary. Unless you really like ember or perhaps frequently play with one.

Yeah, i do like Ember.

And no, i don't find myself regularly going for 40+ endless runs, mainly cos i mostly play solo and have no clan, but partly cos it's hard to get randoms interested in loooong void/derelict/etc runs.

That said, yeah prolly gonna get it but not max it, can stockpile resources, creds (thanks to the free booster right now) and work on it at a later time and eventually get it high enough rank for it to matter.

It is a significant investment to max it. It is not a significant investment to surpass the non-primed heated charge. If you use heated charge at all, it is worth getting. It's not like you have to pump 2 mil credits and 513 r5 cores into it before the mod starts working, as soon as you have it at 6/10 it is better than the non-primed version.
