Rare Orokin Storage Container
Is this something newly implemented, 'cause I just found one in a t2 exterminate and I got a forma and a 30 min xp booster from it. I was just wondering if it have been in the game for a long time. :Corpus:

It is an incredibly rare storage chest introduced in U15 for all faction. It can yield boosters, complete formas, packs of R5 cores, rare weapon blueprints, rare and corrupted mods and potatoes(unpoven, but saw several posts). Before it was patched it also could give you cometic armor blueprint, which was promtly removed (though this cutom blueprint is still in the game, and for what it will be used - we don't know).

I'm trying to hunt down one for a week now, I no longer care for what's inside - I just want to see the bloody thing. It drives me insane.

From what I've heard and seen, they look almost exactly like normal containers. Well, the Orokin ones. They only have golden holographic waves going on instead of silver ones. Grineer Reinforced Containers are orange, instead of green and I have no information on Corpus ones.

No, tell me about it. I went insane looking for one, then got bored, came back to sanity. Noticed that was boring as well, now I'm driving myself insane looking for one again. Must've done three or four dozen keys solo by now, looked in every nook and cranny and still no luck.

Do you know the definition of insanity?

Pretty much, yeah. That's why I called myself insane. I still expect it to have a different outcome eventually.... ^^

A cog in the machine will keep rotating, grinding itself down perpetually. I should probably go run one more run. Or two. Or dozen...

Kudos to you for not quoting Vaas from Far Cry 3 here.

After the first time i found one was tricked too to look for more but without luck, their very low chance to spawn make them not really worth it to look, specially if you play Void too often since you loose o much time and frustration is the only thing you will ever find.

Not even the Treasure rooms got decent rework, made 3 yesterday and 3 today to find 1 Rare (continuity) and mostly common mods.

In normal missions i dont even look since i only play endless modes besides Void, it was a great idea but once again badly implemented bc of how Rare it is.

I wish we had something similar to Binding of Isaac mechanic. From the start you have 1% that the crate will spawn every run. If it didn't spawn - the chance increases by 1 or 0.5, until it reaches 10%. Finding the crate (and destroying it) will reset the counter back to 1%.

The rare containers have different glows depending on what faction they are.

Grineer containers glow red.
Corpus containers glow blue.
Orokin containers glow gold.

When they do spawn in they are in normal container locations, more frequently in "hidden" areas. There is no guarantee that one will spawn in a map.

If you listen carefully, the rare containers give off special sound cues that you can use to locate them. If you run a Void/Derelict Sabotage mission, the sound that the hidden Caches make is the same sound that rare containers use.
