Got another question, I have +heat damage and +cold damage mod. What elemental damage mod should I use or upgrade further between heat, cold and blast damage?
Also, what kind of other mods should I look to upgrade?
You can slot in both mods. You might want to look into elemental combinations though. Use what is appropriate to the faction, unless you have a preferred proc/status you want to inflict. Then stick to that. Look up the Damage 2.0 page[warframe.wikia.com] for more info on all this.
As for mods to upgrade, there's a huge list. You'll need to be more specific. There are 6 categories for mods, and not all things are built the same.
(or on the stalker weapons)
There are quite a few weapons out there that are not Prime, just like there are bad prime weapons. Bad advice.
Yeah my most honest tip is save them for a better day. Also be informed about every step you take anywhere is another honest tip.
And yes, for me personally prime stuff does get catalysts/reactors WAY more often.
If I can answer all the points above with a "yes" I'm very likely to keep and upgrade it.
I'll look into the six different categories for mods and if I get stuck again, I'll probably ask help again.
Guess I'll try different weapons and see what fits me
thanks for the advice :)
Or ofc Dakra Prime as that's a good sword too, or maybe the dragon Nikana (have yet to get a Nikana myself).
I'm one of the lucky ones with a skana prime which isn't too powerfull but it came catalyzed already xD
But anyways, you won't see meleeing in endgame scenarios I believe. Too risky. So maybe use it on a Boltor Prime, Latron Prime, Braton Prime, or secondaries like the Brakk, or some explosive weaponry (which is powerfull but I'm not a fan of it myself).
But ofc if you got 2-3 catalysts you may aswell use one on a sniper for the fun of one shotting high level mobs.
Basicly you can use it on whatever you want, if you don't care about the stats and just want some more fun, all weaponry will become better and usefull to some extent with a catalyst.
Yes even the Dual Heat Swords would become powerfull enough to go against pretty strong enemies but if you had the choice in overpowered vs. powerfull then yeah maybe go for overpowered with that 1 cata you got.
If you're not spending money on the game, I'd suggest saving it for one of these or whichever weapon you like once you've leveled a few of them. I personally wasn't a fan of the heat swords, but just me. Alot of how you play will be dependant on your playstyle so checking out youtube channels on modding various weapons like 'calipsogaming' or 'agayguyplays' should have some good demonstrations of the weapons. The later having demonstrations of some of the stances.
Also, excellent advice from crowbarzero. If you ever wonder on a weapon, look up those channels. I'll also suggest Mogamu who also does great weapon overviews.
