Zephyr is very tanky, very mobile and is generally easy to play for me, at the same time being great help to the team. If you go with as much Duration and Range on her as poisslbe - all enemies in 70 range won't be able to shoot straigh to save their lives and all projectile damage in 10-20 range will get deflected. Straight up. Of course, I'm talking about her Turbulence.
For a newer player I'd recommend Zephyr. Though she's a bit harder to get because of Oxium requirement.
Her turbulence augment mod .. " Jetstream " increases while active projectille speed by 100%?! and sprint speed by 40% if I remember right.. for yourself and all your allies.
Its hella awesome ! Especially with a supra .. pew pew pew pew.
If you aim for zephy.. jetstream is IMHO a must.
But since Shaidon is more the slow paced player.. nevermind xD
Banshee fits the stealthy playstyle more but is fragile.. you need to use her powers kinda nonstop on later lvls (solo).
My advice.. aim for zephy.. learn the game. Get the mechanics and some knowledge.. banshee can wait ^^.
^This
Banshee is a good frame, but Zephyr is amazing for all but infested since they don't shoot weapons. Doing melee is not recommended. Turbulance/Jet Stream build for range, durration and efficiency.
Search for Turbulence builds, or look her up on Youtube. You'll be impressed.
Her powers and strengths are not as obvious as other frames. My current Zeph.

Turbulance is always up, Tail Wind can get you from A to B like Worm Hole, except it's only for you. Tornado for those o-sheet moments you need to CC.
Down side to her is the noise. Some people may not like it.
One more thing, should I also get the Shade sentinel?
Actualy that does sound like it could be fun to use for the invasions on the starmap. Just for the lulz. Going to give it a try :)
- Sonic Boom is a useful ability to stagger large enemies, which gives you a moment to aim for vital spots and kill them quickly. And because of its general low-cost, you can use it over and over again.
- While she is statistically inferior to Zephyr in-terms of shield and health, she has a larger energy pool, which allows her to use her powers more often than Zephyr (this is, however, dependant on the build and the player)
- Her Silence ability stuns enemies AND lowers perception and tactical response. If you use this upon entering a new room, you can easily clear it of most, if not all, enemies within a few seconds until the effect runs-out. And if there are still enemies standing, use it again and finish them off.
- As pointed-out above, she is able to pull-off insane amounts of damage thanks to her Sonar ability. While this does require a little bit of precision with your weapons, this makes it much easier to down larger targets. If you combine this with Silence, you're golden.
- Banshee is easier to aquire. If you have a clan that has completed research on her component blueprints, she is easier to build because the materials required to build her are reminiscent of most other warframes.
- While she does require more specialized builds, she is easily one of the most desired support frames due to her effectiveness at making enemies easier to dispatch.
- Her effectiveness is not limited to the enemy faction. She is an overall useful support frame for any situation.
As an owner of both frames, I can vouch for them both; however, in-terms of overall support capabilities, i personally see Banshee as the superior support frame. If, however, you're looking for CC, then go for Zephyr. It's totally worth the lulz. The lulz were so plenty, that the mod has a near permanent place on my Zephyr XD. But in all seriousness, the aug isn't as bad as it's made out to be, it helps get stray enemies up into a tornado, and is pretty effective with high density crowds.
Zephyr though is really Fun and good all around. Zephyr can fly across the map. Use turbulance to redirect projectiles. But more importantly is her Tornadoes, when those comes every enemy around you will be up in the air unable to do anything.
Both these frames has low armor. However banshee has basically no defense abilities, so you are out of luck if you are spotted. In my game time, I had never killed one Stalker with my Banshee solo, but I have killed the Stalker multiple times with Zephyr solo, almost too easy on Zephyr.
I really liked my Banshee(Where is my Banshee PRIME!!!!! >:O) But, Banshee is more suited towards team play than solo, Zephyr really is kind of a Jack of all trades frame.
As for sentinels, Shade is alright for sleath play. But for me carrier forever!!! I just can't live without my Carrier EVER!!!
The wiki say "blueprint can be purchased from the Tenno Lab interface in the Dojo once it has been researched." For me this an alien language. I have the market and finished the first 2 story missions. And right now I'm trying to unlock missions from the planets avaliable and see how to get Plastids and Nano Spores to forge my Paris, since I'm still using the MK ones. XD
