Corossive does no extra damage against Corpus. It works best on infested and armored Grineer units.
I recommend magnetic damage with high slash for best efficiency against Corpus.
Toxic bypasses standard shields, damaging health directly(and deals extra damage to corpus flesh). It does not bypass proto shields, but deals extra damage to it.
This can be effective if you have a slash or puncture weapon, since you will kill most enemies before their shields are even down. Or better yet, a pure toxic weapon.
Magnetic is very effective vs shields, but doesnt do much aside from that.
2. Impact is useful against shields. No surprise there. A good example of this is when i fight Vor in T4 Void missions. My AkMagnus are capable of taking all his shields down in seconds due to the amount of Impact damage they do. Ofc, since Vor is also an armored enemy, Impact won't help me there. Same goes for "flesh" enemies like Infested. If Impact was designed to be effective against all other enemy types, then that'd be plain overpowered. So what did you expect? Did you think you could kill anything and everything with Impact-heavy loadouts?
If you want a good alternative, use Toxic damage on a Slash or Puncture weapon. If they suffer Toxic damage, it goes right through their shields whilst maintaining the usefulness of having a Puncture or Slash weapon.
The way toxic works in warframe, corrosive is viable against any faction, is a all around damage that doesnt force you to change betwen enemys, in fact a corrosive build work such was magnetic if we are talking about the same mods, both builds maxed or not maxed.
