RHINO VS RHINO PRIME

I've already built the helmet and chassis but recently my friend urged me to get the rhino prime because it's faster (i take speed very srsly) has more polarities and looks hectic. Should i abandon getting normal rhino, which i've almost gotten the whole thing and start hardcore grinding for rhino peime? which is better considering that rhino prime might take me quite a whilr considering that i dont really go orokin missioning.

Rhino Prime takes a while to get, especially if you're not hardcore farming for him. Just get Rhino and get him to 30 for mastery, you can sell him once you get Rhino Prime.

Getting Rhino Prime will either require a bit of Platinum(1 of his parts is particularly rare) or a lot of time farming specific Void missions.
Getting Rhino first, and see if you actually enjoy him after 30 levels, might be a good idea before investing a lot of time/platinum into obtaining the Prime version.

Apparently the speed increase is only noticable if you have a specific Arcane helmet or is affected by speed buffs/mods.

The extra polarity slot can be "gained" simply by using Forma.

Ofc, there is the fact that it looks different and being a prime to consider, but my above suggestion still stands.

Sell for credits in the inventory, youll get a good ammount and youll get the slot back.

Rhino and Rhino Prime are considered separate Frames for Mastery Point gain. So completely abandoning Rhino would mean missing out on 6000 MP. If that's no issue for you, I'd get Rhino Prime and be done with it since it's better in every regard. If I were you I'd get Rhino, get him to rank 30 and then replace with Rhino Prime.

The silver skin on normal rhino is cooler IMO. The only real difference is the 10% speed. And you don't choose rhino for speed to begin with, unless of course you buy the arcane helmet. Even then there's better frames for speed farming missions that aren't endless. Just grab an ember or nova or zephyr or volt or loki instead for stuff like exterminate.

Only thing that matters in this game is speed. 10% faster + 30% speed from helmet.

Rhyno will remain tanky as he is, but he will be fast.

Speed is useless if you have good weapons...

Well, technically, 1.0 up from 0.9 is more than 10%. And practically, speed is always useful in this game. You can close the distance to enemies faster, you can retreat faster, you can keep up with rushing players better or even rush better yourself, you can react faster to threats in Defense, can get to points in Interception faster, and so on and so forth.

... speed is important, especially if your weapons can keep up with your movement. With crappy weapons you can play cover-based-shooter if you want.

Also, you get one more slash polarity slot on a Prime.

I get the aesthetical standpoint, but that's a matter of taste. Stats-wise, Prime is superior.

I own both, and before Rhino Prime was released, I had already forma'd my original Rhino 2x, once with the polarity the Rhino Prime came with. I have the Arcane Vanguard helmet, and I personally don't have a use for my Rhino Prime, as getting him up to my original Rhino's ability would require me to forma him 2x, which is just a waste of time.

I personally would go for the original Rhino, and forma him once. There is a ver high chance that by the time you actually get a Rhino Prime, you'll have a few forma's in the stash. Then, if you like your original Rhino, you can drop him once you get the Rhino Prime for the speed increase (which I barely notice) and have the same frame with a different look. Although, I personally think the original Rhino looks better. I don't like the gold Iron Skin, nor the gold doohickeys protruding from his body.

Rhino Prime is 0.1 faster than the normal one, gets an extra polarity slot and has a golden skin, besides the usual "gets energy from void traps" that all Primes have.

I'd say that if you already have a Polarized Rhino and some other stuff on it, it's probably not worth it unless you really like the looks of the Prime, but other than personal preference, there's not much more to it.
