Warframe
Silva & Aegis
This weapon looks awesome and i just started building it, I tell my friends about my acomplishment instead of "Congrats" or "Good Job!" I instead get "Oh That weapon sucks.." and "Thats barey better than sakana" And for it being a bp from the dojo it should be better than sakana. And incase you dont know... This requires forma that took about a day for me to get... I was hoping that there would be a way to buff this weapon? If not, Can anyone suggest a build?
Thanks!

Well, they are right, even if they are being a bit jerkish.

Is it a damage beast on par with some of the other 'end game' weapons? No.

Should that stop you from buying and using something you really want? Absolutely not.

It's a decent weapon that is good against infested but can be adapted to fight anyone. Get the stance, you shouldn't need a Catalyst with the stance, then just stack damage mods on it. Pressure point, spoiled, etc. and enjoy.

Don't sweat what others think.
Really fun weapon to use.
Thanks guys! and you're right Their opinion does change the fact that it looks sick. They just gotta deal. But for a dojo weapon it should at least have a little higher stats that the sakana but one more question. Does the weapon go well with Frost? Hes the frame im currently building and you know Fire and ice arent the best of friends...
Make the energy on Silva and Aegis blue. Problem solved.
:P Thanks XD
Also, consult http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage for more info on damage types. Yes, the damage of S&A is similar to Skana, but the damage type, in addition to attack speed, status chance, and crit chance, are all factors in differentiating weapons.
Well in general, people won't usually congratulate you on making weapons. Pretty easy. It requires a forma not because it's good, but because all clan weapons do so. Making it a clan weapon once again doesn't mean it's good, just another method of obtaining them. If you already have a good clan, it's just as easy as to buy the blueprint from the market. And taking 24 hours to make isn't rare, all weapons take 12 or 24, once again not a good indicator.

No warframes and weapons really clash so that they are bad to use together. Some weapons are better with certain warframes, but that's about it; it won't melt your Frost if that's what you're thinking, or make it weaker. The good armor on Frost and defense abilities can actually make him extremely tanky when paired with the weapon though, but I would go for warframes that have higher stamina, since it's used when blocking. I believe Valkyr and Hydroid are the ones that have it higher.

As for the weapon itself, it is pretty bad. The damage is bad. The blocking can be nice but still drains stamina, so you can be completely drained of stamina even if you didn't want to, and it's just like blocking with a regular weapon. The Skana is actually not a horrible weapon, there are way worse ones. Silva and Aegis is fun but that's because it's a gimmick weapon.

You can mod any weapon to be good though, and in fact the blocking can make it somewhat useful endgame since blocking never loses value. Because of this, there are various ways to go around modding it. You can go for a pure damage build to slash out every once in a while, but that ruins the point of the shield. You can go with a standard channeling build and use the blocking as a line of defense. Or you can go full-out blocking with a stamina build on your Warframe and some deflection mods. Mix 'em up, especially the latter two, and see what you like. It all depends on how you want to use it. For late game, a defensive build would be the best, since the damage isn't enough to justify a close attack which is already a risky move with a high-damage weapon. I wouldn't use a potato right away as I do on some weapons, since it isn't considered top-tier. See if you like it first. As said, the stance and a max level should give you a good idea.

there are more melee weapons rather than dragon nikana...

LIES.....

Joking aside, it doesn't matter what other folk think.

It's not the best weapon you can be using but it's more than viable. As long as you enjoy using it that's all that matters.

There are quite a few folk who do use it so there are some good builds floating round for it.

... Can anyone suggest a build?
Thanks!

First of all ... I my personal view, it is an "awesome" weapon. Second, as for the build ... I recommend adding "elemental mods" to make it into a "gas" weapon ... good for the AoE crowd-control.
Thanks for all the replies! I actually expected a lot of negative replies but I got something complely different.. Thanks everyone! And Ill try to make it into a "Gas" Weapon.
Your friends are ill informed. It's a decent to OP reated melee weapon, depending on which frame you use it with. Try using it with Trinity.

1. Challenge your clan members to a duel
2. Use link
3. Block with the aegis.
4. Laugh as your enemy kills themselves hitting you.
