What is a good begginer frame to do everything with?
So I got a friend interested in the game but he wants to use just one frame for quite a long time. He is going to just buy the frame so unlocking it isn't a factor. He is new so he obviously does not have helminth unlocked. He also works nights so he will be solo a lot of the time.

So frame suggestions for a newb who wants to solo the entire star chart.

Any of the starters, plus they cost nothing. Mods are the important part anyways, not the particular warframe

If you think all frames are equal for this purpose then suggest one that would be fun to use like this. All mods will come with time and grind.

Thank you for the suggestion.

i fell in love with caliban recently , his 3 brings in some pretty tanky pets and his passive increase his resistences to 50% to just about anything (his pets do even tau dmg thats even neutral in damage and has no counter
but everyone has their own preferences
I've picked Volt as my starter and used him in almost every mission. Now I have like 20% playtime with him and 50% with the prime version.

i started with a similar mindset as your friend, as i usually stick to the starter "thing", wheter pokemon, partymembers in rpg, or in this case, excalibur.

but this game, once it clicks, makes this mindset go away partially, as theres simply to much isht do collect and master.

abyways, excaliburs exalted weapon is something that can potentially carry him quite around, as theres no need for a "good" melee i think? but personally, with now experience from all the starters... id pick volt. the speedbuff alone will help big in almost any situation/mission.

Dante, I think there is a starter pack for him, but if you mean totally f2p starter frame, probably volt, imo. ggs

mag and volt scale better as you get more tools at your disposal than excal(least until next update we'll see), i.e a tenet arca plasmor/nataruk with mag or melee influence nami solo incarnon on volt

dante is acquired late in the quest chains but is a very good all rounder(and has the benefit of scanning enemies for you) and very self-sufficient

citrine is an annoying farm but a very good all rounder frame

nezha and rhinos are both very solid weapon platforms and both can sorta be turned into nukers

Agree with this. Dante has possibly the highest *floor* of any frame. Once you get used to him he can clear the star chart easily, entirely unmodded.

That said, he's very repetitive and requires very little skill, so your friend's resulting initial impression of Warframe gameplay will be extremely skewed and not in a good way.

Rhino.

He's simple but durable with a great damage buff and crown control ability; he's good for a variety of missions and for a lot of the game he isn't overly reliant on mods for the early game or overwhelming.

Beginner frame for everything?

Wukong. Hands down.

Easy to obtain. As soon as you join a clan you can buy his blueprints with credits and build him.

Easy to play. Decent survivability. Invulnerability and healing. Clones himself. Invisibility. You can use him for most things if not all and be totally fine. He's very versatile. He only lacks CC, but with the amount of overguard present in the game CC is kind of meh now anyways.

Are there better or more powerful frames? Yes. But for a beginner this frame is kind of a the entire package. Easy to get, easy to build, easy to play and very strong in nearly every type of content thrown at it.
Frostr. Frost is the classic defense mission frame from Ceres, and still does the job with aplomb. He's also pretty tough and decent at crowd control. He's buildable pretty early.

just farm volt its not that hard you can buy in DOJO ~! the parts are easy to farm or just choose as starter save the plats for something else later on
Definitely Rhino. Has invuln phase, has overguard, two skills that can be helminthed over, has decent CC and early level nuke, can easily be built with early mods, and can push any weapon further for leveling (making crap weapons good with minimal mods).

In fact, I just did an hour arbitration with lowish mid MR player and he only died once.

the best all purpose frames imo would be protea or dante. protea has a prime dante doesn't. you can buy protea for less than 50 plat on warframe.market
