What quests are in The New War?
I'm playing through this game for the first time, so I don't want any spoilers, but I can't find this info anywhere. I keep seeing it as a prerequisite to most of the stories. And though I haven't had the story spoiler, all that I know is that The Duviri Paradox is a sort of prequel to the The New War. Also, for 1999, I know the Voidrig is a requirement, but do I need to fully build it or do I just need to complete the quest the blueprints are tied to?

Okay, so if you can hold off for a bit you'll be given a loaner Necramech for the quest; and then you can farm to build your own if you want (I'd say to cause they're fun but meh). They also readjusting the pathing to be easier to get to newer quests, so may be worth it to wait for the next update. But setting that aside The New War is the quest not a series of quests prerequisites (Pulled from the "preparations for New War page, so giving credit) are:

- Natah
- The Second Dream
- The War Within
- Chains of Harrow
- Apostasy Prologue
- The Sacrifice
- Chimera Prologue
- Erra
- The Maker
- Rising Tide
- Heart of Deimos

Some of these are probably just to give context for things happening within New War, rather than actually needed to open it.

Jesus Christ, if that's all build up, then what's the real quest because I can't find it in the codex.
Also you need a necramech? I thought it required a voidrig?

Voidrig is a Necramech, like Excalibur is a Warframe.

Oh, okay. I thought the necramechs were just the WH40k looking robots with shields and the voidrig was something related to it but still a separate thing.

Not buildup. They are all main story quests. Some are just a bit larger in terms of content than others.

I believe the necramech requirement has been scrapped from new war. You'll be given a loaner for the quest if you don't have one.

Alright. Also my question about the necramech was for the 1999 quest, The Hex, not The New War.

Necramech = Voidrig being one of two Necramech types (Voidrig & Bone Widow), but I do want to stress the aforementioned in 6 days the you'll be given a loaner one of these for this quest so it won't be a requirement.

Editing this in: I don't think there is a Necramech requirement for 1999 its just needed currently for New War as a prerequisite and New War leads eventually into 1999.

Search in main quests I imagine but it'd likely be blurred out if you haven't done the prerequisites. Basically you'd need to do a quick checklist for what you have or haven't done to find what you're missing from that list. Do it and any others not done yet to have New War pop up; also maybe a Junction needing unlocking not sure since I was through my system map by the time the quest came out.

There's no requirement for The Hex quest other than complete the story quests before it.

I've got both the Natah and The Duviri Paradox quest, I just haven't started them yet.
Also, the prerequisites for The Hex don't appear for some reason. it just there in the codex.

Oh okay. Thank you.
I got into this game just to be able to play specifically that. Don't get me wrong, I love this game so far, part of me just wishes it was released as a separate game lol.

Natah is the start of the main storyline of the game, so you'll need to do that, which will lead to Second Dream that will lead to War Within and on down the main storyline that will lead you into New War then into 1999/Hex; since that's the main storyline. Basically like in single-player games where there's a path for the main story to proceed, there's a quest chain to proceed down in this case. Duviri I'd hold off on till finished with New War just so it'll make sense; but ymmv on that one.

It's a live service game with a continuous story introduced with updates. There's multiple people before you that came to warframe specifically for 1999. But 1999 isn't the game. It's just a quest and a separate region. Future quests may or may not be linked to that particular content. But with the introduction of The First Descendant Warframe will move along accordingly I think.

I realize that. I had originally thought that it was going to be a separate game that kind of acts as a prequel to the main game since it looked so different. Plus, 1999 was the most marketing I had ever seen that had anything to do with this game.

I 100% understand the confusion people have. However DE doesn't have the manpower to support two games of this magnitude. They are already working on a new solo RPG game called Soulframe, which may or may not be to people's likings (I personally have 0 interest in it).

I didn't even know they were working on a new game.
Btw, since it's a prequel to The New War, should I play The Duviri Paradox first or should I wait until get up until The Hex and do it before that?
