Pretty hyped for their deluxe skin.
If anything, Xaku being called as "They" by DE is because the lore is literally showing it's "They" become as one. So it doesn't represent any non-binary or whatever made up name or pronounce some people think like what happening IRL. In this case it's the opposite of Xaku. When in fact the BIOLOGICAL FACTS and simple observation show its something as one to become "They".
It just a problem with their mind, simply as someone who can accept who they are.
Yeah, DE totally didn't add Xaku as a non-binary warframe intentionally, it's just a coincidence lmao
I figured Equinox was the first pass at doing that, since she's got androgynous elements, but is confirmed to be strictly female. Xaku, they went all in. Even on the dev side, Xaku is 'they'.
Just so everyone is clear here the frames we use in-game are not the originals. The originals were made from humans being melded with the infestation. The frames we use were made at our workbench which means they're cheap fakes. Excalibur Umbra is the only exception there.
EDIT: In regards to using them I'm not into using Xaku right now until a prime gets released because I don't like wasting formas on non-prime anything.
Agree, if anything Equinox is clearly being represent as "Female" so that it. The androgynous is just an expression and what she can switch to look like. the normal version look like that but prime version look clearly showing it's a female.
I think the concept is interesting because it came from a place of scorn when the community suggested a broken warframe to match the broken content/updates.
That would be true if we couldn't make prime frames, but we can. The helminth is integrated into the orbiter, and the foundry can work with organic components. I don't think anything in the lore has ever suggested that other warframes aren't organic, or that they could even function as warframes if they deviated too far from the original scheme of a helminth-infested human shaped into a warframe. What we make in the foundry is presumably more like a clone, lacking whatever key characteristics made the original people ideal candidates for their respective frames.
Anyways this thread isn't about that. If you want to talk about it more send me direct messages on Steam or start a new thread about it.
Yes, it's a great way to add a non-binary warframe and reduce the amount of bellyaching over pronouns.
The shield and armor stripping aoe at 100% reduction, along with grasp and your killing things almost instantly by the dozens without even aiming at anything, the only thing you really have to shoot by hand is nullifiers.
Then Revenant Prime came out and I moved back to using them 100% (still the tankiest tank that ever tanked). Xakus great, and worth it... which they sure as hell werent at the beginning.
