Nexifera won't drop
Trying to capture them but they won't come down, it's already annoying how rare they are.

edit: At least make them spawn a little more frequently?

Not rare, always spawn in the caves. Don't kill the little criters underneath them. They will go down on them or you if you stand under it. You should get some in a few minutes upon going into the map. Check some vids, it's quite easy when you know where to go.

I roll over the slime puddle underneath them. That always forces them to come down when there are no critters (Cryptilex) around.

Been stand and rolling. And yeah I know they spawn in caves.
I just patrol between caves with the tranq gun out and hit them with a sleep arrow from ivara when I spot them (I use a range-duration build) pretty EZ if I do say so myself.

fun fact : when you use the night form of equinox , you can let them sleep and only have to collect them , so you actually have no need to wait till the fall , and as a bonus : you also get the critter below
Except for making use of Equinox, I have done all the above recommended actions and had success.

I have also managed to use growths and terrain to put my 'frame at a better position to get a clear shot at the spinnerette/ovipositor/telsin of nexiferii, while they were "reeled-in", to send a tranq dart into the side of their butt-tube.

Another method I recently tried out in the really big caverns is float up with my Archwing to get a good view of their slender sinew-snake and I can routinely achieve that immobilizing shot. In the same manner, I can use Titania to apply the long-distance injection of sleepy-juice to that visibly, vibrating vein.
