Well Of Life (first ability) gives immunity to any negative status effects and knockbacks.
Energy vampire (second) gives energy in AoE as well
Link (third ability) rmakes you status immune if ability has linked into at least one nearby enemy. With small creativity you can direct Status effects from Void laser traps or Fire/ Radiation Hazard effects in Sorties on enemies. Link also reduces damage on you.
Blessing (fourth ability): Restore health and shield of allies in affinity range and gives them damage reduction for 15 seconds.
she can deploy flowers that deploy seeds to other players and their pets to boost their hp significantly , their movement speed to ridiculous speeds and zap hostiles for a short amount of time
Yes, players should combine Wisp's kit with optimal positioning and use of dance emotes to properly "motivate" teammates
Oberon and Protea are also nice
Also, her 1 is super strong on Arbitration/Archon defense, it basically insta heals the defense targets in there and can give them huge shield regen.
And you have a big AOE armor/shield strip.
She is really good.
A good Revenant with Mesmer Shield mod and team-awareness can keep everyone alive beyond level cap. It blows my mind that a lot of players don't use this mod.
So, the best support frames either:
a.) bring uncommon things (like Harrow's additive critical chance)
b.) bring things in a significantly better way than other methods (Like Dante's or Frost's massive amounts of overguard)
c.) are solid frames who just happen to bring things (Like Octavia)
If they don't fall in any of those camps; they're generally not doing great (Like Chroma).
Sooo... Dante (Frost for the same reasons), Rhino (Harrow + Mirage in almost the same sense), then solid frames like Protea, Octavia, and Jade. I'd say it all goes downhill from there.
I don't actually think Wisp is that great. But she's up there too, I guess.
That said, these days certain kinds of support get frustrating. I don't want a Dante around when I play as a champion's blessing Trinity. I don't want Harrow to go anywhere near my Laetum. Any of the elemental damage buffs can fry my balanced status weapons.
