for weapons, i use anything that does a few hard hits with easy time hitting the weak spots. like the sybaris, it has burst fire with good damage, and extra nice if you got the incarnon mode.
- Latron Incarnon (easy armor strip for p1 & good damage output)
- Laetum (anticrit, for shooting balloons & eximus)
- Sampotes (built for slams for p2 + Melee Afflictions for status damage on the tank)
- Wyrm Prime (built around resetting the cooldown of Negate as often as possible)
Rolling Guard is also hugely beneficial (particularly when running a shieldgating setup & you didn't have Negate up for getting hit by acid clouds).
P1: Pop the weakpoints, strip the tank's armor, gun down balloons & RPG units with Laetum, repeat once.
P2: Literally just spam heavy slam & let the waves do the work for you. Remember that the beginning of the second healing segment spawns nullifying rocket towers & to blow those up before they can start shooting at you.
Enjoy your accolades.
Zephyr has a mini tornadoes build that nukes the boss in all phases.
It's not particularly difficult aside from the tick damage from stuff but any frame with any weapon can do it (have solo'd Apex with Excal MK-1 Brat, Late, Skana) with a rolling guard+psf even against the Apex.
The thing I find tedious about it is the healing phase that doesn't seem to do much except waste your time while it is invincible and nothing in the arena is going to pose any real threat to you while the tank isn't attacking. So you both just stand there for a long time.
They're not a threat to you. You just supposed to clear them to prevent them from healing the tank, like with Tridolons.
Honestly, I feel like the actual fight was designed as the Apex version, and then had the various elements removed or dumbed down for the normal versions.
