GPU Temps on this game is high
I play normally around temperatures 55c-60c and this is already undervolted with custom fan curves, yet this game is somehow pushing the hardware to its limits even when in the home base where I get most of my temps spikes.

Even limiting to 120 fps didn't make that much difference

What's the GPU temp? 55c is very low and below optimal operation for a GPU. Anything below 85c is totally good. But a bit over isn't harmful.

its around 62c-65c and as mentioned it spikes in base when not doing any mission lol, may sound low for others yet most games I run even at 99% max gpu usage won't push it above 60.

I may sound ludicrous on this for complaining but the game somehow running a for or while-loop in its code non-stop.

I have a good undervolt which makes it run at optimal temps and reasonable gpu frequency but man on this game its different.

I will try setting ssao and volumetric fog to medium if it helps, will test it out.

Try turning off volumetric fog

As long as you don't get temps above 85c you have nothing to worry about at all. GPU spiking and such can have all sorts of causes, it'd be impossible to pinpoint from a bystander. But maybe someone else here has experienced something similar like this. But like I said anything below 85c and you have nothing to worry about. Totally fine.

this helped, its now hovering 60c and the fan curves are able to maintain the temps.

There is also a setting in the warframe launcher for high performance or power saving. (default is high performance)

I usually set it to DX12 and Power saving, and that seems to help.

Sadly, the new generation nvidia cards have ok clock temps, but the memory temps are terrible, I was hitting 95 degrees memory while playing alan wake 2 with full ray tracing and I would have not known it had I specifically been looking at the memory temps. I read something about how many vendors skipped out on proper thermal pads for the memory chips, some not even having any.

I read the new 5xxx series nvidia are the same way.

Im convinced this is on purpose. instead of the cards lasting 20 years, they may last 10 after its been gamed on for so long. Sure this doesnt seem like a big deal, but there are plenty of people in other poorer economic countries still using 20 year old video cards.

Crazy the amount of waste these people generate just to make profit.

BG3 ultra = 60°+

Staying in my orbiter cockpit = 80°+
Doing a mission with explosions everywhere = 50°+
Going in the helminth room = 80° exiting the room = 40°

Make sense to me, we all know it's poorly optimised.

My orbiter has tons of decorations and needs around 75% usage to run. Around same amount as a 1999 mission.

62-65c under load is very cool, 80+ for extended periods of time should start to be concerning.
