If you look up some cosplayers that have decent hard surface costumes (like armor, robotic parts, etc), sometimes they drop information about who makes their costume. You can commission them to make one for you but it's gonna cost.

My band made a music video awhile ago and one of the extras in my scene is cosplayer and I've seen some of her costume making vids and with the proper tools you can make it.

Got a link to her videos? I’m fully aware hiring someone to make the costume would cost a few grand so I’d rather make it myself but I just don’t know how

From a quick search, it's not super involved or anything because of it's tiktok but I remember she made other stuff. Don't have tiktok, so not sure if there's anymore there.
