Warframe

I've just about had it with all these bugs
I'll come outright and say it, the game being 14 sandcastles built on one big sandcastle then held together by shoestring and glitterglue doesn't excuse having to encounter literal game-breaking bugs every session I sit down.

I can't think of a single mode without an exceedingly high liklihood of encountering progression-breaking nonsense. My first run in duviri today ended with a random host migration into a perpetually unkillable jackal, then another host migration spawning me from the loading screen directly into a fresh mission alone as a completely unarmed "suit" without the ability to cast, attack or even go operator, forcing me to give up and I can't even have my weekly circuit progress saved because for some reason they coded progression as a "drop" so failing or abandoning will result in complete loss of progress either way.

I then turn to do my Archon Hunt weekly(which, let me remind you, is supposed to be the most on-rails, scripted, rigid play-by-play gameplay you will ever experience in warframe) and I encounter bugs forcing me to reset the mission like Kahl randomly being unable to re-enter command mode rendering the progression impossible.

the sheer number of significant bugs I run into in duviri alone goes beyond entire other franchises of games I've played to completion. There comes a point where bugs can't be overlooked anymore, I understand some things can't be helped such as not being able to force-host a session or change from a peer-to-peer connectivity model(which is entirely impossible), but when regular gameplay equates to a total coinflip as to whether or not you get to keep your progress at all speaks volumes as to how much your time is actually respected. We can't just go "that's just warframe" every time we get a game-breaking bug. I can't begin to even recount all the times I've lost progress with this gamemode, limbus enemies saturating the starting room, waypoints disappearing, quest chests not initiating their scripted events putting you in limbo, kaithe bugs, circuit not spawning enemies or activating their mission scripts, quest essential bosses not advancing states after being mercy-stabbed, not spawning enough enemies to meet the criteria to deactivate invulnerability on the Jackal, losing the ability to control your character's movement, losing all your weapons after transitioning from circuit to overworld, getting the wrong weapon after transitioning into the overworld leading to no long-range option after your magazine is expended, these don't even begin to describe how fundamentally broken this one mode is. I'm not saying that the devs have a responsibility to ensure that the game is 100% bug free before release, but I think we're at least entitled to stable gameplay and have our progress insured, especially when time-sensitive hot commodities are gated by it. Which is a bare minimum level of standards that warframe has consistently failed to meet by this point.

This is why despite having spent 8 years playing the game, I can't bring myself to recommend it to anyone.

I have only ever had any real mission related bugs in Duviri. But I figured out how to sure fire way to avoid it.

I do the story part until it tells me to go to the underworld. Then I just farm chest for an hour and after that I continue on the story to complete it.

The Duviri jackal has only bugged in the way that we killed it too fast and the mission would move on but the jackal was still alive. But because it sends you too a new map it wasn't an issue.

On rare occasions when host is changing it has messed up some stuff but I have 4000 hours on this game and it's rare.
Warframe is way less buggy (and easier) when played solo mode. All the bugs you described could be avoided by playing solo.

The amount of crap you have to deal with multiplayer is ridiculous. Especially true for Duviri Circuit.

I know it's a multiplayer game but... outside some missions like Interception there is no need to enable multiplayer.

Don't know if it helps but maybe try disabling crossplatform and reduce the Matchmaking Ping Limit.
You thought the Man in the Wall was Warframe's villain? No, it was always Host Migration.
True, the game is packed with bugs at every corner and devs don't even attempt to fix them.

Just today I had:
- A bug that prevented me from leaving the archwing
- A bug that prevented me from attacking
- Enemies not spawning in survival
- 3 host migrations in a row without any break
- Power cell carries not spawning when digging
- Lasers not disappearing after hacking the console in Orb Vallis espionage
- Game crash when picking up an item in laboratories
- Mineral veins constantly clipping through terrain or spawning in broken places

All in the span of 2 hours.

the amount of bugs related to the duviri jackal alone is astounding

That's exactly right, its not even an uncommon occurrence that you personally discover new bugs every single session

Yeah, some short missions I like doing solo like spy sorties but when it comes down to the wider game at large, I want to interact and play with other players in the end. I'm not saying it doesn't work but I that I shouldn't *have* to play alone just to insure my own progress, and at times those bugs still happen, specifically kaithe bugs, player control bugs, stuck mission scripts and limbus enemies having completely jank spawns and never de-aggroing. those issues have little to do with ping and is more just spaghetti code
Seemed like things got worse when the main programmer went off to work on soulframe.

That is just 1 bug and it doesn't even impact my gameplay. The mission will move on without any problems.
it seems like something happened while doing SP circuit for incarnon or maybe the experience.,,,seems like you are.

seems your aware of host migration and the fun it can cause. and clearly bothers you... you chose to disregard or take the 'risk' and P,u.G.
theres a reason u get a decree at beginning of each stage of the circuit/finish the undercroft. but im assuming u mean lost progress as in the time spent in duviri but not defeating the wyrm
you definitly have a longer history to draw from.
my ive encountered/sound familar bugs u listed but 98%of time has not been enough to deny completion.
progress or materials collected...drops;-)... snapshot/saved every time a decree is earned, isnt it

i cant find the point...assum you venting.

i think its cute how your strawman premise turns into a steel man tho your right being constructed in such a way is no excuse,,,just the reason =P

as u said can be done. u could do write the code to convert warframe to a stable system that is not p2p? i dont know anything about it.
i have faith in you that u can fix above mentions as u go =)
i love being on the computer
