tyana pass
I decided to give this game another try and was quickly reminded why I stopped.

I'm currently at Tyana Pass, and my quest progress is gated by this level.

My damage output is terrible, even when trying to stack corrosive damage, takes half a mag to drop someone.

Is this section purely a gear check, or is it designed to be tackled with more than one player?

If it's a gear check, how do I even get better items? This game is very unforgiving for new players...

Tyana Pass is a node meant for later in the game. What quest is being gated by it?

I mean it's on Mars so i wouldn't say it's not a late game thing.

Edit: Level range is about Saturn onwards so if OP's around there, should be fine to clear. Otherwise OP can save Tyana until later.

Later, not late. It's out of the way of any junctions, requires MR3 and has higher level enemies than the rest of the planet, while its rewards are used in Deimos after completing Heart of Deimos.

it's designed for at least two players. You can beat it solo, but not farm it to round 5 solo. It's also really fun.

Your whole Warframe progression plan has gone wrong, better replan your play while consulting experts.

If any masters are still online in the clan, seek them out for advice.

You may press F12 while in-game to get screenshots then upload them to your Steam public storage and share your shots for expert reviews.

Vauban can solo it effectively, provided you don't try it on SP.

Tyana Pass is part of the optional quest for Citrine. If the level is too high just continue the main questline.
Skill issue.
One thing that really helped me when I was starting out was learning how to evaluate new weapons. You want to look at the crit chance and the status chance. Whichever one is higher, that's what you want to build towards. Then, you want to start going for Primed, Galvanized, and Archon mods. These mods are more expensive in your build than regular mods, so you'll need to put some forma in your gear to be able to fit them all in.

Use frames with reliable CC like Nyx or Vauban

Outside of getting enemies away from the defense target, it doesn't actually matter if you're killing them or not, just have to keep the timer going. With proper CC, you can also forget dealing with the enemies and just grab the crystals instead for both healing and getting materials.

I mean... if someone else hasn't already mentioned the hax option, there's Titania. If you build her for high efficiency and use her 4, you can fly around and collect crystals pretty fast.

That said... I'd strongly suggest doing so in a group, so there are people using Vaubans and such to keep the actual point defended.
Sorry all, it was me being an idiot and not reading the quest correctly. It can indeed be ignored, not gated.
