If you have an Archwing, the Archwing Launcher, and access to any of the open world areas (Plains of Eidolon, Orb Vallis, Cambion Drift), you can go into the open area, launch your archwing, and start scanning enemies on the ground from high up. Most enemies can't see you from further than 80m or so, and rarely look up, so flying about 100m up will get you stealth scans on everything. Conservation animals are also valid scan targets, and if you tranq them from far away, they will still count as a stealth scan even when you go right up to them to turn them in; the tranq rifle will track & highlight them for you further away than most people have enemy radar. I normally use Orb Vallis for this, since the other two landscapes will spawn flying enemies you will need to deal with if you are in your archwing.
I can't answer your other questions, but for 3, the only medallions Simaris will accept are the Universal ones, which I have only seen as drops from special events (twich devstream, gift of the lotus aniversary alert, and so on). Medallions specific to the main six syndicates can be found in their respective missions (so you can find up to 8 Steel Meridian medallions in a steel meridian exterminate mission, for example).
If you get a good run you can max your daily standing limit in a single go.
And thanks for all those goods tips regarding stealth scanning, because I've forgot about the ArchWing trick one.
It also kind of restores the sharing knowledge in good faith that this community seemed to had somewhat lost sometime during these last years or so.
And also replying to the OP, that Simulacrum Key[warframe.fandom.com] that you'll obtain from C. Simaris is also for its arena area that I've just linked above it as well.
And despite Khora[warframe.fandom.com]'s farm is one of the worst grinds that I've done upon WF it was worth it due to her general usefulness (before her Prime version appeared too, ofc).
To get back into Warframe and understand what's going on I revived an old goal that fits farming cephalon simaris standing and that is to farm out Ivara.
Which I just finished doing together with Paris Prime cause it looks like a good fit.
And with that I will do some cephalon simaris farming later.
You're remebering it right.
You're referring to the somewhat unpredictable Simulor[warframe.fandom.com] Rifle (due to limited range) and having to choose previously shot floating Orbs to then shot again through those to have amplified damage.
And also the decent damage Heliocor[warframe.fandom.com] Hammer, even if albeit amongst the slowest attack moving ones that I recall of (ir memory serves me right too, ofc).
Best results are the vultures, they yield upto 1500 standing per scan, groups of 3 (rarely less)
Second best is night time, the night cats. they yield 500 each, groups of 4 (rarely less)
1) If you got for the simarus hunt quest. It's spawn is relative to what it is; infested? go do infested missions, grineer? go to grineer missions, Orokin? go to void missions, etc.
2) Sanctuary Onslaught is your affinity farm mode, best described. But you do earn rewards in both modes, reg and elite.
3) The universal medallions are a rare drop, I highly do not recommend farming them just for simarus standing. they can be obtained from some reward tables as rotation C.
4) Simulacrum is your "battle simulator", there you can spawn any fully scanned enemies for testing/training/etc.
The key is sold by Simarus himself I believe
