coda liches names are hilarious and concert confrontation is awsome.
DE took the lich system to another level with coda.
They fixed the parts that were boring and expanded the fun.

I thought it would be a copycat of previous liches but no, they delivered an innovative system instead and everything in this new system is great and beats old liches by a huge margin.

Pretty good job so far.

its way easier n faster than the liches n sisters BUT it feels kinda bare bones as a result, especially with the RJ part I was really looking forward to infested space combat, only for it to be the most shallow thing for RJ yet.

if they just made coda all contained in 1999 I think it'd be fine, they'd just need to flesh it out a tiny bit more like having its own boss map or something and give us REAL infested equivalents in normal WF.

TL:DR; coda def easier faster system but also a lot more shallow.

I just hope they fix the buggy exit so after 20 minutes killing 4 liches you don't have to do it again.
I almost wanted to keep my first coda just because he has a gameboy attached to him.

I have the 13 coda weapons plus some spare live heartcells for future valence fusion and this never happened to me (neither spending 20 minutes o_O nor encountering a bug that made me do the confrontation all over again) but if there is a rare bug I sure hope they fix it.

as a side note for the wet blanket/spoilsports (unsure of the correct english word for it), there is half a dozen threads to complain about everything about the coda lich system already, maybe you can participate in those if you aren't interested in participating in the one thread celebrating it, just saying. Please accept that some people are actually able to enjoy a fun packed update.

The confrontation is fine the first time, but when you have to do encores for third time, it just drags. Should be TWO kill/converts and then an encore for the next two (or two then one with three players or one then one for two). Been just doing them solo just to get it over with.

Do love the newer system though. Much faster and more rewarding. With the old system, it would take 30 mins to kill/convert a lich if super lucky or an hour if not, this is not counting having to run capture or, worse, Granum Void to get the desired weapon OR having to open requiem relics.

This system is straight up 30 mins at most. Can spawn a coda during the antivirus bounty, three cycles, averaging two, to figure out the right thing, and another two or three cycles with the potency mods for confrontation.

It actually got worse because the next time I tried the fight I couldn't execute the lich, it played the "whoosh" sound when trying to interact with them and nothing. So one lich took me 3 attempts at the final fight.

I much prefer the system as a whole to Kuva liches but they really need to put it back in the oven for a bit.

That sounds frustrating.

I remember a somewhat similar issue on a previous update back in the day. Updating my graphics driver and performing the optimization in the launcher fixed it. no guarranty it will fix yours but definitely worth a try.

I kinda agree with this. The fourth coda feels a bit repetitive. A grande finale being a bit more than the opening of the concert would feel even more enticing.

Exactly ! This system is so much superior to the old ones on the player friendly side, it is so much straightforward fun that it doesn't feel grindy at all. I wasn't expecting much and I have been tremendously impressed by the delivery.
i'm mixed. i wanted /infested/ liches. we got techrot liches. not quite the same thing.

the boy band gimmick is funny, but out of line with kuva liches and granum sisters.

also not a fan of doing the bulk of the work in 1999 holvania, but the finale is in "present day" railjack.

the "store" gimmick instead of drops is a decent modification, it strips a lot of RNG out of collecting the "drops."

The way I see it, if deimos and eris infested are considered the same faction, techrot is the same faction too.

The one thing that frustrates me about Techrot Encore is that all of the content is mutually exclusive. That's probably intentional so it takes longer to run out of new content, but it does mean that trying to farm the coda weapons means I can't play stage defense and temporal archimedea basically only exists to unlock peely pix which can only be used in temporal archimedea.

There's far too many phases in the showdown. Would be better if it's more like the original liches.
